The Ever Expanding Internal Revenue Service

Everybody fears them and those who don’t are either a member of government or insane. To them you are guilty first and must prove your innocence. They will sweep your bank account without notice. They will scour your history if you should somehow unwittingly become their target.

Once you become “noticed” you are much like a bug under their magnifying glass when the sun is highest in the sky. They will fry you and keep coming back to fry you again and again for years after. Once you are behind, you will remain so because of their convoluted and incomprehensible array of rules regarding back interest that is so absurd that if your check is a day late, they will hit you back up for a day’s interest. Not a day late of delivery but a day late for THEM in processing the check. It’s what THEY say, not what YOU say. YOU don’t rate. YOU are only here to serve the STATE. Their hands are in all pies, yours, mine and our neighbors.

They are the United States Internal Revenue Service and they will hound you until you crack,  grab a gun and then they will shoot you down. It's not like it's never happened and it does happen.
This is the capability of this tool of the government. It is of no surprise that they have been targeting the Tea Party or any of the New Conservative, Patriot and even Religious groups since their job is to preserve the present administration.

Who? The Obama Administration? No, It's more than that. I’m referring to the latest syndicate of political/corporate power brokers that are presently running the country. THEM. The IRS gets their marching orders from more than this President of the United States. The people currently in power want no change in leadership. The Tea Party and other opposition groups are a THREAT. How dare you want to hold onto your own money!
So they send their IRS MINIONS after them. At first it starts quietly with a letter but as they start to track where all the organization’s money is, the ABA (American Banking Association) numbers, the account numbers, corporate office locations, they then begin to dissect your returns and surprise, they find SOMETHING! They then raid your offices and it will be all over the news and by freezing all your accounts, you can’t even buy justice in America. You will have to fight just to have access to your money in order to fight the rest of the charges. The stress alone will take it's toll.

What has become the most feared police force in North America was established back in 1862 when Congress created the Commission of Internal Revenue and gave it the power of seizure and prosecution.  This was made permanent by Congress in 1913 with the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.  They have been a bane to the American citizen ever since.
It’s not that we shouldn’t pay the government something since people throughout history have always paid either the King or local Noble for protection of self and commerce but it becomes a problem when they take too much and spend the money on buying influence with certain groups and to undermine others. This is not the role of proper government.

Say what you will about whether it was legal under the U.S. Constitution to establish an Income Tax or not, there it is and we as American Citizens are under its heavily armed Cuban heel.  Even with the latest revelations of wrong doing, nobody of any significance is actually going to lose their job over it. Nobody ever does in government anymore. The bleating sheep of the National Press will drown out any outcry and then they will broadcast a "look over here" issue that we all must pay attention to like Lindsey Lohan getting out of rehab or the latest Robert Downy Jr. movie. Nobody will care in a few weeks and we'll all go back to the same routine of paying the IRS demands without fuss and thanking God we didn't get the death penalty.
The significant thing that the income tax does for the U.S. Government is give it incredible access to almost endless wealth and credit. So much so that it is almost impossible to fight the government in the nation’s courts. The vast amounts of resources needed to battle the government in general and the IRS in particular is out of reach for the majority of American citizens. As the lines to be heard in America’s courts become longer, justice just keeps getting farther out of reach.  The tax code has become the baseball bat the government will use to beat you bloody.

And now the IRS has become the Club of Reckoning for the National Health Care Act. Their access to our personal information unhindered and unchecked. Not that the IRS didn’t already know everything about you, they now will have finger tip access to your personal medical records: What kind of Chemotherapy you are on, what pills you need to take and when you last had a thrombosed hemorrhoid lanced. They can audit you, your relatives, your doctor and the medical organization he works for. And they can shut you all off with the push of a button.
And it all just depends what organization you belong to. Is it a good organization or a bad organization?

When Will Germany’s Debt Be Paid?

Sixty-eight years after the end of World War II, how much more time must pass before Germany can outlive it’s warring past?

If Greece had their way, that would be never. The Greeks just want Germany to just pay and pay. And to whom will the money go? Well, to Greece, of course!

Even though a settlement was reached in 1960, the now flat busted, irresponsible and child-like people of Greece want Germany to pay up again. This time they want 160 Million Euros to make amends. This fabulous amount of money is, coincidentally, roughly the amount Greece is in the hole financially for their wanton, frivolous and corrupt collective behavior. Well how about that!?
This is what Germany gets for trying to help bail out Greece in the first place. That’ll teach them. No good deed goes unpunished.

How come Greece doesn’t go after Italy for money? After all, they fought Italy in the war too. Oh, that’s right I forgot, Italy’s broke too. Can’t get blood out of a stone!

And what if Germany did pay up and Greece got the money? They would only piss it away again without a second thought. Not a debt would be paid, not a lesson would be learned. Does anyone believe otherwise? Don't be a sucker.
Greece’s public sector bloat is the stuff of public labor union leftist LEGEND. At one time public sector wages accounted for 27% of all government expenditures. I'm sure that figure did not include the pension liability either. Education and healthcare is also publicly funded.  That's a lot of green being sucked out of the economy annually without the production to back it up.

Even throughout the last four years of austerity, the Greek government has resisted any cuts to its public sector while its taxpaying private enterprises took the brunt of cuts and layoffs. They have not taken one voluntary step in the right direction for their own nation. That would be called "taking responsibility for ones actions" and there's too little of that around the world these days.

And the Greeks really know how to sweet talk a nation that has something they don’t IE: Money. The Greeks have been over the top in their rhetoric and public scorn aimed at Germany and its role in the bailout and the imposition of austerity measures. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been parodied and insulted in numerous ways by politician and pedestrian alike for the crime of leading a country that remains industrious and prosperous while they, the Greeks, are not and haven’t been for some time.
Greece is what you get when you have people depend on big government for their daily bread. Greece is, sadly, a country that only has history to look towards to see how proud they used to be.

All this must be seriously tiresome to the German people if they’re paying attention to this at all. How many times can Germany’s 20 something’s, two generations removed from the war, have to listen to the Nazi and Hitler references, the continued drumbeat of past atrocities and blame for something they only have read in history books and heard told by old timers? I am not without empathy for their position since I have never owned a slave or oppressed an indian but continue to hear about it like thos things were my fault. Why should the German citizenry have to put up with this crap especially from jealous grasping spendthrifts like the Greeks?
It is asking a lot of the German taxpayer to fund yet another bailout of people who don’t care an nth about them and won’t change their ways? Hmmm, that sounds really familiar…

If it were up to me, I’d forget about giving Greece any more money. They have no intention of paying what they've already received back anyway so it’s like throwing money into the street. Let the industrious nations of the world not drown themselves attempting to rescue people who don’t know enough to come in from the rain. They've spent plenty of money already.

In other words, tell Greece to blow. Let them solve their own problems!

Obama Campaigns While His Policies Turn To Shit

Mr. Obama is back on the campaign trail. As if he ever left. He’s out giving speeches on topics from Gun Control to Gay Marriage to mapping the human brain but answers no questions about ANYTHING. This may be because his national media support team doesn’t ask them or that NOBODY is allowed to ask questions.

But there he is, flying all over the country still.

But it’s all just more distraction, more redirection and more subterfuge for the Obama regime because the last thing President Obama wants to talk about is his policies because NOT ONE of his policies that he and his Leftist ilk has pushed through Congress to become law.
These are the LAST things that the president wants to talk about.

“Look! Over there! It’s North Korea! Aaaah! Look out! They mean it this time, they’re going to do something baaaad! Hey but wait, all these kids got shot in Newtown, Connecticut. We gotta doooo something right now! It’s baaaad! This is a national CRISIS! This is IMPORTANT!”
But the real crisis is that the much trumpeted “Recovery” is not a recovery at all but a failing attempt by big government at slowing the economic death spiral that it's tax & spend policies has put the U.S. economy in. It continues to spend money the nation has yet to earn while getting nothing in return.

The quick rundown of just some of Mr. Obama’s campaign themes:
The Stimulus has been an expensive failure. Just on its surface it could never gain ground on debt because it increases debt. How can you produce ANYTHING when you’re expanding debt? It makes no sense.

Green Energy has also been a colossal and expensive failure. Green Power is pricey power. Look at the Cape Wind project that was going to be built off the coast of Massachusetts. It was all a rosy picture until we found out what it was going to cost the public when/if it went on line. Boom, gone! No more Cape Wind. The Obama government has been losing millions in taxpayer funds in it's gamble of picking economic winners and losers in energy production.
If there is a single major reason that the economy is not recovering but in fact going backwards, it's ObamaCare.  Any gains that may have been made would be offset, or rather, overwhelmed by the incremental increases brought about by the Lefts National Health Care initiative. What business is going to hire workers when they don't know how much they're going to cost from year to year? ObamaCare makes people more expensive to hire and keep every year when they should be finding ways to make them less expensive so they can be hired and so that business can be compeditive on the global marketplace. The source of this great expense has not been wages but government intervention in the healthcare industry. There isn’t enough money in the world to make Socialized Medicine work.  Just by the nature of it, ObamaCare could never work. Unfortunately it will cause a lot of pain on its way down the “Failed Socialist Ideology” toilet of history.

Gun Control can never work. Sure kids got shot but kids get shot every day in our inner cities and nothing, you hear nothing. This is because those deaths are a result of government mandated prohibition that keeps drugs illegal and therefore firmly in the hands of an increasingly violent underground economy and murderous terrorists. Who wants to talk about that? Certainly not the president.

Obama’s support of Teachers Unions has been a dismal failure since most of his Stimulus package went to them instead of his much touted Shovel Ready jobs. Remember those? Mr. Obama apparently does not.

The list can go on. There's the Public Union Pension Liabilites that are crushing state budgets across the nation and the Federally mandated funding of Medicaid and Medicare which were mistakes right from the beginning.
And so far it’s all held up by printed or borrowed pieces of worthless paper.

But the message we get from Mr. Obama? “We can do better!” What does that even mean?
President Obama may be able to defy Congress. He may be able to defy the Supreme Court.  He may be able to defy the U.S. Constitution and the will of the American People. But the one law the President won’t be able to defy is the Law of Gravity. Because of his either purposeful or misguided direction, these debts our government is piling up will fall due and when that happens, all the money will turn to shit just like Cyprus.

Everything the Obama Regime has put through has caused hardship, shortages and pain for the general public of the United States. There is more poverty, more people out of work, more people on food stamps and more people in the streets than at any time in the Baby Boomer era. We as a nation are in the most debt ever run up by government.

And nothing is going to be done to address it because government is out of bricks to kick under their various pyramid schemes that they've used to buy votes since the 1950s. There are no more fixes and no more money to throw at them. We as a nation are insolvent.

So when you hear the sound-bites circulated on radio and TV, just keep in mind that that is all you’re ever going to hear. There will be no questions, no answers and certainly no candor or truth.
But the truth is, this nation is in a heap of trouble.

North Korea Wouldn’t Last Two Weeks

If North Korea actually manages to start a war with either South Korea or the United States, they couldn’t possibly keep much of their vaunted 1.5 million man army in the field for more that a week or two.

And why is that, you may ask?

Because they have no FOOD!

Have you seen pictures of their solders? Have you ever seen a skinnier bunch of  baggie clothing in your life?

They're basically bags o' bones with military uniforms. Even the once diminutive Chinese look like GIANTS in comparison to the North Korean army. Oh you may think being skinny means “Lean & Mean” but in this case there is a real lack of size and muscle in that group which comes from generations of poor nutrition and scarcity that North Korea’s massively failed system has produced.

The North cannot feed themselves and haven't been able to for decades and since their shabby Democratic People's Republic collapsed, they can't even BUY food. The DPR even has the Communists thinking they're on the wrong path.

As Donald Rumsfeld first pointed out, North Korea is a country of darkness and misery. The North Korean military could be in possession of  all the food in the country but that’s not saying much. There is only ONE fat guy in the whole country!

And to think that China will want to or even be able to get enough food to them fast enough is hard to imagine. The only motivation that the North Korean army has to attempt to storm South Korea’s heavily armed fortifications is because they smell food cooking over on the other side.

China would be wise not come to North Korea's “rescue” if Pyongyang is that stupid or that desperate to start a full scale conflict since a global fall from grace for China could very well spell doom for their robust but still sensitive economy and would most definitely drive other countries back to the U.S. for stronger relations and investment. They may have the big bucks but nobody really TRUSTS China.

There is a saying, and I'm going to screw it up but it goes something like this: "If I owe you $500.00, you own me but if I owe you $ 500 Billion, then I own you." Could a boycott of Chinese goods get their attention from the United States, still home to the largest population of mindless consumers in the world? Look, we're all being taxed to death and money is short but we still run out and buy iPhones and basketball sneakers when the ads come on TV! Oh, and give up our CABLE? That's crazy talk!

Or how about a DEFAULT on our debt to China. Would that get their attention? Then again, there's no telling if the current administration actually has the BALLS to do it but just maybe they will if pushed far enough.

We can always buy our cheap stuff from India, at least THEY like us. Such competition makes the world go around.

So go ahead China, send some troops and help out the global scourge you have cultivated for so long. That will look great. Look what helping out the Assad regime in Syria has done for Russian relations!

North Korea may have a nuclear warhead or two and they can cause much local damage and destruction to their Southern neighbors which will be a sad, sad thing if that happens but once they blow their wad, they’re done, it’ll be over, the iron grip of misery for the North Korean people will be unclenched and the world will be rid of this particular lot of nasties and then it will be on to the next group, I guess. Once the regime is broken, both North and South Korea will become a garden.

And the world will just caulk up Kim Jong Un as yet another petty tyrant to be swept away by his own lack of benevolence to his people and the world.

Good riddance.

The Boy Scouts of America vs. The Radical Left of America

I have been an adult volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America for over a decade. I believe that there is no finer organization for the training of young boys to be upstanding young men in the world.
It is a long program, spanning ages 6 through 18 and there are no short cuts. The BSA is a Meritocracy, that is, all advancements are earned and scouts are reviewed by adults at every step up the ladder to Eagle. They learn first aid, how to work as a team and eventually how to lead a team. It is they who decide what they want to do, where they want to go, plan how they’re going to do it and who among them they want to be their leaders. The adults are there for guidance. This has been the model for over 100 years.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the oldest and most benevolent organizations in these United States. Any child of any color and any religion can join and be a part of the troop. The BSA has a place for them.
And you can be gay, just not openly gay. That’s the caveat. It’s not an issue because it’s none of anybody’s business, really, if you are or you aren’t. Just don’t make it one.

But factions of the political Left in this country are using the current BSA policy as a hammer, and although overruled by the Supreme Judicial Court in 2000, continue to wage a media war against them.
Why do these people want into the Boy Scouts so badly? Can’t they just start their own scout troop?
If they really cared that much about gay scouts having no organization of their own, then why haven’t they chartered their own openly gay scouting troop? There is nothing stopping any body, government organization or private citizen or organization from starting a scouting troop, is there? You just can't call it the Boys Scouts of America but there's nothing holding anybody back. Let someone start an openly gay troop and let the multitudes run to them.

Sure, they wouldn't have the National or World Jamborees but the BSA didn't have them in the beginning either. The BSA built up their organization brick by brick into the long standing pillar of stability, achievement and youth education you see today, more than 100 years after it started. It is a long running success story built on self-reliance, training, teamwork and personal achievement. Basically it's for everything the political Left is NOT.

This is why I don't believe that this issue is about the exclusion of gays from scouting. For me this issue was aways one of Sovereignty. The BSA and its sponsors have every right to choose how it wants to run its organization, period. It’s a private organization chartered mostly by churches.
If the chartering organizations don't want openly homosexual boys or leaders in the troops they sponsor, then they shouldn't have them and shouldn't bow to pressure to accept them. If the parents of scouts have an issue with openly gay boys sleeping in the same tent as their kids, they have every right to protest and every right to leave scouting if they so choose.
Forcing acceptance of openly gay individuals into the Boy Scouts of America will achieve neither unity or acceptance. It will only fuel further division and people will vote with their feet. Reaction will be swift and could lead to fracturing and turmoil among the ranks of long standing volunteers and their children.

But the Left will take that, rather it wants that to continue the conflicts that divide us as a nation. That way they can fight on; receive their funding from who knows where and continue to be the obstacle to, rather than the force for, good. That's what Anarchists do.

I see no upside for such a policy change.

May God bless the BSA.

Hugo Chavez Died Like A Dog

Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez contracted an infection in one of those pitiable Cuban hospitals that spread to his lungs and he died rasping and begging for his foul life in a third world banana republic.
There was no glory in his death at the hands of nature, fate and perhaps ultimately the Cuban hospital system.

So then why on God's Green Earth is our nation’s news media only repeating the glorified account of his death as told by some murderous Chavez henchman like it was a page out of the Gospel?

Beats the hell outta me!
There is no doubt, however, that Chavez was anxious to get back to Venezuela and the business of totally destroying the economy and extending his misery over the people who were not yet living in the slums. He needed EVERYBODY to live in the slums. He may still get his wish.

Hugo Chavez would not have loosened his madman’s grip on the nation until everyone was drinking out of mud puddles a la the African nation of Zimbabwe when kindred spirit Robert Mugabe used his uneducated mindless hordes to force the white Afrikaner farmers out of the country and confiscate their land.  Zimbabwe has never recovered while the nations bordering the country flourish.

After 14 years of Chavez’ rule, the slum dwellers remain in their slums. How they must rejoice. But others have joined them! The middle classes have fallen into the ranks of the poor and the nation’s money is not worth wiping your behind with. This is Chavez’s legacy to his nation and the world.

This is a man to be lionized and remembered? What I remember is that during political rallies by his opponents, armed men would ride up on motorcycles and fire bullets indiscriminately into the crowd of men, women and children and then ride away unobstructed by the police.  And why not, the shooters were the police.
But to people like Chavez, it’s not about bringing up the status of the poor but to tear down the well-to-do, the wealthy, the Haves. It is the pleasure of the rabble to bring down the hard working achievers even if it benefits them not. Because to Chavez and the people like him, these people didn’t deserve it, they somehow cheated and built their success by taking away from someone else. The benefit for people like this is to see someone else suffer. This is a sickness that plagues mankind and Hugo Chavez, like so many others in history, played on it. In other words: Chavez was filth and his filthy minions remain so, not one step closer in legitimacy, high stature or enlightenment.

Hugo Chavez died like a dog, begging to be saved by the witless doctors of a backwards, cloistered nation hopelessly stuck in the late 1950s in thought and ideology. There is nothing to see here. There is nothing to memorialize and nothing redeeming to look towards.  Chavez and his ilk are the embodiment of archaic thinking and singular want. He was just another misguided Marxist Megalomaniac terrorizing a nation of people who only wanted a good life for themselves and their children and an opportunity to make something of themselves.

Yet Chavez’s minions vow to “Continue the Revolution”. What Revolution? They already ruled the country for 14 years and, much like Mugabe’s idiot ill-fated army of autobots, they haven't a clue what to do with it. They can’t farm, they can’t produce and they can’t govern. They don’t know how, they're too stupid. The nation has been failing ever since he took over and is on the verge of total collapse. They will rule a nation in tatters. There has been no "Golden Age" of Hugo Chavez, only deprivation, shortages and hardship.

To praise Chavez is to praise the Devil. To tell it any other way is a lie.

CEO of World Catholic Corporation Steps Down

The big news is that Pope Benedict XVI is the first CEO of the longest running money making business in the history of the world to step down in 600 years. Usually they just drop dead in office, much like American Congressmen.

But no, rather than talk about the U.S. Economy or the state of affairs in our flailing nation or the creeping insanity that has effected our too long in the tooth and too long in the saddle government incumbents, the government media mouthpieces would rather concentrate on this. THIS is important news!

We will now be treated to moment-to-moment coverage of the gathering of Bishops who will come together to choose the new CEO. People who wanted to be journalist but who could only manage to get one of these government television news jobs will be standing outside the Vatican waiting to breathlessly tell us if they see a puff of smoke. How solemn, how sacred, how boring! But it beats telling people the truth about the way things are going with the country and our Megalomaniac of a President. “Hey, look over here! It’s the Pope!”

Does anybody still even believe that the Catholic Church has anything to do with God?
As the Catholic Organization has operated in the U.S. the last 60 years or so, it has been the beneficiary of the American government and the American people bending over backward to help them make money, dictate their hypocritical views of morality and, of course, to make a boat-load of money. Because that’s really what it’s all about with a business, isn’t it? Don’t think for moment this group is a non-profit.

The Catholic Organization enjoys tax free status in this country yet when a particular church stops making money, they close it. And their YMCA network can compete against private health organizations with the significant advantage of being a tax free enterprise. The Church's holdings in this country are vast, valuable and tax exempt. Why? Because they're religious, kinda sorta?

Their influence has been waning for decades and they only have themselves to blame. It’s amazing that under the last two changes in leadership that the major players in the church molestation scandals have gone unpunished. One glaring example is Cardinal Bernard Law who was allowed to leave the country and has been in hiding in Vatican City ever since. Collusion between the Church and the State had to be made for this to happen. It’s sick.

The staunchest atheists I’ve ever met were brought up going to Catholic schools. I find this fascinating. After their “education”, and one hears stories, most want nothing to do with the Church and don’t want their kids going anywhere near one although the only good thing the Catholic Schools have going for them these days is that more public school teachers have been arrested on charges of molestation than priests.

The Catholic Organization is an affront to the belief in God and has proven itself an embarrassment to religion. The Pope is an irrelevant anachronism and as the new Pope will soon come out to announce the organization’s NEW all-inclusive direction, all I can say is:

Who gives a shit?

Crying Over the Sequester

Who on earth thinks the military is underfunded? After 12 years of expansion, war technology breakthroughs and 700 bases all over the world, what is $22 Billion to this massive juggernaut of spending, waste and murder?
Only a warmonger, Sean Hannity or that hypocritical government tool, Fox News,  would think the United States will suddenly be left undefended if these cuts, and they’re not really cuts, they’re merely a reduction in budget increases, should actually happen?

But from the sound of the wailing from government, who will never willingly take a step back from spending taxpayer money on their voting groups, you’d think they were your local school committee threatening to cut the football team from the budget next year unless you vote for a tax override.
Let them take their ball and go home. If the government won’t cut this, then what will they ever cut? If both "sides" are unwilling even to cut what amounts to 1% of all government spending, then how will the nations budget ever get balanced? All this wringing of hands over what amounts to a drop in a bucket only proves that government is willing to cut anything from their bloated federal trough of corruption, waste and influence buying and sweetheart deals.

If the U.S. military is so strapped for cash, then why don’t they close even a few of those hundreds of military bases they’ve got all over the world in places that we neither need to defend or shouldn’t be in anymore at all like Greece, Italy, Japan, Germany or the UAE ? Let some of these places start to take an interest in their own defense these days.  Why are we still in Germany and Japan? It no longer makes any sense from a defense standpoint or now a fiscal one. Close some bases if you want to save some money. But no, they can’t. The bottom is going to have to fall out of the economy for any government agency to take a step back from spending OUR money. The only answer government has is to raise taxes...again! It’s not sane.
As long as government continues to kick another brick under the grand Pyramid Scheme called Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, we are never going to get out from under this spending parade.  Simply raising the retirement age isn’t going to do it and taking more and more money out of our pockets is only going to mean less and less the government will take in to pay for their epic Babylonian excess.

If we don’t cut now, when? If not this, what? I’m not crying about cutting the military because they’re usually the Republicans voting group. The Republican Party has capitulated to the political left years ago so there is no longer a fundamental difference between a Republican and a Democrat. They are both wasters of the public trust and they lie together  in the house of ill repute that is Congress and the Presidency.
The only party that really wants to do something about Washington’s largess is the Tea Party. They’re the ones working and they’re the ones paying.  And they’re the ones who want the Sequester and so do I. I hope it’s allowed to happen but I don’t think it will. The Demilcans and the Republocrats will do a last minute punt and we’ll all just wait another couple of months for the next “crisis” and call to jump through more hoops while the second coming of Rome crumbles into its whimpering history.

Stupid.

Government Spending Does Not Grow the Economy

I don’t know where the disconnect is. Is it just politics and the people who are the recipients of government money just pretend they believe it or are people just stupid to begin with and join the “destruction leads to economic success” crowd.

Government does not produce anything for sale. They get their money mostly from taxes, income taxes, excise taxes, sales tax and other administrative fees. These moneys come from the taxpayer< people who work for private business and produce goods and provide services> for which they are paid by the consumer> with this so far?

When the government takes these moneys in they then transfer these funds to their prospective budgets and agencies that spend it on what they do, like the USADA, the FBI, the FDA and the money is also allocated to Medicare, SSI and states in the form of Federal Highway Funds.
All this moving of funds takes people, government employees, who handle the accounting, the money transfers and keeps track of the money coming in from their various sources. In private enterprise we call these people “Overhead”. These people cost money in pay and benefits. They only exist to handle the tax money coming in and there are legions of them from local IRS agents, town collectors, state collectors to the federal IRS. This process carries a price tag.

This is why when either State or Federal agencies spend taxpayer money, they put out much less than they take in. This is in the form of the previously mentioned overhead. The money handling  costs reduce what the government takes in.

A great example of government spending in action is Boston’s Central Artery/Tunnel Project, aka The Big Dig, a federal highway’s project that when 9 years beyond it’s 1998 completion date and over ran its budget from a projected $2.8 Billion to an incredible $14.8 Billion and will end up costing a total of $21 Billion once the bonds floated have been paid for. Taxes have had to go up to pay for this massive expenditure. The Feds only contrubuted $7 Billion to the project meaning the State of Massachusetts has to pay the other half. And it was a lousy job. The tunnel leaks like a sive and the ceiling panels are suspect. And they didn'even make the road wider.
Government too often starts to look for a place to put a bridge rather than where a bridge is needed. So when someone says the government creates jobs I have to laugh out loud. The government does not create jobs. Companies create jobs. The only difference is when the government takes money out of the private sector to create a jobs, we only see those jobs. We don't see the jobs, the buildings  and the opportunities that money would have created because it was never allowed to happen.
These private sector jobs would also have taken place without the overhead that government is stuck with as a matter of course. This is why a government job is not a net gain to the economy. These jobs don’t grow the economy because they go to non-producing jobs that provide no measurable return to the economy. Oh, the government workers put money back into the economy when they spend it but as a whole, less money is going back into the economy than was taken. This is a loss in economic growth, not a gain. There are too many people handling the process for there to be any cost effectiveness to their public works.  This is not a political thing, it is an accounting thing. It’s just the math of the situation. The more people involved in the process, the less that comes out of it. Everyone gets a check but not every job produces growth.
Growth only occurs in the private sector where the efficiencies of competition and the marketplace determine success and expansion. If you make something people are willing to buy voluntarily, you will grow the economy. Governent didn't invent Microsoft or Samsung.

The latest outright lie I’ve heard was that the U.S. economy shrank mostly because of government cuts. What didn’t the government produce that they had to cut back on other than killing machines perhaps? No, the nation does not run on government spending, the nation runs on private sector production and that is something that the government itself is killing because of higher taxes and increased regulations. This is squeezing the consumer and when people stop consuming, the economy shrinks.
This is not a surprise to anyone where they can see government growing and taking resources out of the economy and causing producers to produce less since they can’t sell what they’re making because consumers are buying less since there is less in their pockets.

What did they think was going to happen?

Obama Hikes Taxes, Promises Less of Everything

Saying that the U.S. economy is an “unfinished task” one has to wonder what President Obama really means. Did he mean that the economy is struggling and he would like to get it moving again or did he really mean the economy is struggling and that he’d like to “finish the job” of killing it entirely. By his actions over his presidency so far, one has to wonder.

It is an audacity to say that his administration has reduced the deficit or cut spending when nothing of the sort has even been considered never mind not carried out. Even the dreaded "Sequestor" is not a cut in spending but a reduction of increases in spending. So much for responsible government. If the Sequestor was so damaging, Obama wouldn't have signed it into law, a fact that seems to have been overlooked in the days leading up to it's implementation.
President Obama is the “spendiest” president there ever was, dwarfing the second spendiest president, G.W. Bush by Trillions of dollars. How he can stand up there and say otherwise is really a sham.
It is a pre-emptive strike on the call for cuts in the runaway government spending when Obama emphatically announces that the country can’t “cut its way to prosperity”  since that is exactly what it will take to get the economy going: Cut Spending and put more money in the pockets of the taxpayers. It’s economics 101.

The less money in people’s pockets, the less there is to spend. The less there is to spend, the less there will be to buy and more people will find themselves out of work. Less money, less products, less workers.
But the only jobs president Obama cares about keeping is those of teachers, firefighters, cops and other government workers. The private sector gets no mention.

There have been quite a few mergers lately as well as more layoff announcements. This is because of the steady implementation of the Affordable Healthcare Act which is raising costs, adding bureaucracies and layers of paperwork. These consolidations are meant to rid companies of the only cost variable they are unable to get control of: People. Thanks to all the overhead attached to them, the less people the better.
ObamaCare is essentially a "People Tax" which all new hires will carry with them over and above their salaries. It makes people a very expensive commodity to hire and so it is now better and cheaper in the long run to spend the money on machines that replace people.

So when facing a harsh reality of the consequences of Mr. Obama’s health plan what does he propose?
Why raising the Minimum Wage, of course!

Since his other policies haven’t put enough people out of work, why not keep more people from getting jobs? It’s the logical conclusion of the economically ignorant. Or is Mr. Obama ignorant of these economic realities? One has to wonder.
There are plenty of jobs not worth $9.00 an hour. Grocery stores, gas stations, delivery drivers and more. If the business you’re working for or want to work for can’t afford to pay it, those jobs are gone.  The fixed minimum wage is just another People Tax.

Of course in announcing this proposal, the president cites “Corporate Profits” never being higher like big corporations will be the ones paying the price. Nothing was said about the small businesses that will be reeling from the effects and who are also responsible for employing more people than big corporations do.
Keep in mind that Mr. Obama has never run even a hotdog stand. Either he knows what this will do to people looking for work or he doesn’t know what it will do, either way it’s going to lead to less jobs. I mean, a person can’t be this ignorant of what makes the world go ‘round, can they?

And speaking of around the world, this overhead will also make American business less compeditive in the global marketplace. Higher costs, less compeditive.

Obama’s ceaseless push for more education funds and more education possibilities is a step in the wrong direction. There is no money to fund these initiatives and without industry, where are all these educated people going to work? We’ll be like China back in the 1970s with engineers plowing rice fields. As it stands right now, there is no place to go for our current crops of college grads who are coming out of school with huge debt and no jobs to pay it down. For them there is less of a future. Less jobs, less opportunity.
The president is currently out on the campaign trail saying and promising anything to anybody who’ll listen. His latest proposal is Universal Pre-School beginning at 4 years old. I’m not making this up! This is an illusion, shear lunacy to the point of embarrassment.

With the Federal Reserve continuing to buy government debt, with the government continuing to buy GM automobiles to boost their sales and with the government expanding at every turn, there is going to be less of everything else.

The Gross National Product of the United States has shrunk yet government continues to spend. Less production and less jobs means less taxes coming into the government yet the federal budget continues to expand.  Heaven help your savings and 401k if they decide to print money to cover the budget deficits. No amount of money will be safe from the ensuing inflation. Just check out Argentina and Venezuela with their 20% inflation rate and shortages of even the most staple of products. Don’t say it can’t happen here. Without the profit motive, people will stop producing. Less buying power, less business, less purchases.

So the State of the Union proposals: More spending, more laws, more subsidies, more government and more executive power means only one thing: Less.

More for government means less for you.

Teacher's Salaries Eat Public Education Budget

Teachers make too much money. They make more money than many of the parents who send their kids to the public schools and whose property taxes pay their salaries. There is no reason why a 2nd or even a 3rd year teacher should be pulling in $50k a year when many people don’t get that kind of money having been on the job to 10 years.
There was a time when being in the public sector was more about service and not much about the money. You had ample holidays and good hours but the pay wasn’t the draw. Now the teachers make so much and take so much of the public school budget that even basic supplies cannot be purchased.

But don’t take my word for it. When I was a kid in the Roslindale projects we went to Phineas Bates Elementary. Well I plugged that into Google and low and behold, there is a website. Here is the text unaltered from that site. I think it speaks for itself.
2013 Budget Requires Cuts to Bates ProgramsSubmitted by Dave Atkins on January 13, 2013 - 9:50am

Each January, Principal Kelly Hung is given an overall budget from the school district and required to submit a detailed budget proposal by January 22. Much of the budget is committed to teacher salaries leaving a portion that is "discretionary" and can be allocated to programs like Playworks, a school counselor, full-time intern teachers in the classrooms, instructional supplies and technology, professional development including staff training on how to implement the 7 Habits, and school contributions to programs like Making Music Matters that are partially funded through other means.
The 2013 budget increased slightly, but the discretionary portion of the budget has shrunk by 55%.

Principal Hung, in consultation with the Parent Council, is working to create a budget to meet this shortfall that has required eliminating the school counselor position, eliminating internship positions for new teachers, asking the Parent Council to fund Making Music Matters, and suspending any future technology purchases. The Playworks program will be retained. Some programs and positions such as the City Connects support coordinator are funded independently or through grants. Some programs like the Museum of Science visiting program are paid for by the Parent Council.
Additional changes include added support for science instruction. Unfortunately, the school-wide Spanish program will not continue, but Spanish instruction will continue in advanced work classes and we hope to have Spanish clubs.

These cuts mean the school will need help from the Parent Council and community to cover even basic supplies and fund any field trips or other enrichment activities.
The School Site Council will be discussing the proposed budget on Wednesday, January 16 at 5:30pm in Room 102. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend and learn about the choices being made. The budget must be submitted to the district by noon on January 22nd.

Don't let anyone blow smoke up your butt, the U.S. economy is still in recession. The GDP has shrunk and for many reasons like increased taxes, rising fuel costs and sky-rocketing healthcare costs associated with ObamaCare, people have less money to spend.

Yet the school budgets are increasing. The teacher contracts require the teachers to get raises even though many who work in the private sector have not gotten a raise for some time.

Here is an example where the teacher's salaries take precident over "even basic" school supplies.
The teachers are well paid, very well paid. So well paid their busting the bank. The school system may try to come back to the taxpayer for more money.

But right now it's hard to get blood out of a stone.

The End of Argentina's Economy

Argentina’s president, Christina Fernadez, and her Minister of Finance, Hernan Lorenzino, have just announced a nationwide freeze on prices to last for two months. They do this in a doomed-to-fail attempt at curtailing the runaway inflation that these to idiots have unleashed on their own nation because they can’t stop printing and spending money the nation does not take in and can no longer borrow.
Sound familiar?

Argentina defaulted on their national debt in 2001 and have been printing money to pay their debts ever since. In her effort to continue to buy the vote, Christina Fernandez has just let the presses go and has done everything she can to make the Argentinian people look the other way. But her attempts at distraction first by pointing a finger at England and the Faukland Islands and then the International Monetary Fund, are transparent and futile. Argentina doesn’t have the cash to wage a war over the Fauklands and doesn’t have anybody else to lend it money so their method of last resort is to freeze prices for two months.
This will do nothing.

Freezing prices does not work, has not worked and will not work. Two months will go by and prices will jump to where they were going to go all along but will happen all at once.  This is what the market does and although prices may be frozen, costs do not freeze just because a government says they do. In fact, regardless of what a government may impose and what people may believe, markets know no boundaries and are only under the consumer’s control. Freezing prices just shorts the seller and will only lead to less. If a product costs more to produce than what the manufacturer receives, there will be less of that product. The army can show up at the factory and attempt to make it run or even try to force the manufacturer to produce but history has shown that slaves are poor producers in comparison to adequately compensated workers. You can’t defy gravity for long and Argentina is just another in a long line of Socialist states that will find this out.
In 1971, U.S. President Richard Nixon imposed wage and price freezes along with other measures that moved the United States off the gold standard. What was initially a 90 day freeze turned into a 1000 day freeze and was a total failure brought on by a president who actually knew better but did it anyway and behold, it did nothing to keep down prices or inflation. Only cutting government spending and balancing the national budget can do this.

This is always the last resort of government.
Like the U.S. in the 70s and the U.S. in the future, Argentina has seen its share of shortages, deficits and hardship and they are not through yet. This will only cease if they can find a way to elect a real president with an economic education rather that the say anything, spend the treasury to stay in power charismatic despots they always seem to get.

Hmmm, that sounds familiar too.
