Democratic Platform for 2020

"When one observes the nightmare of the desperate efforts made by hundreds of thousands of people struggling to escape the socialized countries of Europe, to escape over barbed wire fences, under machine gun fire - one can no longer believe that Socialism, in any of its forms, is motivated by benevolence and by the desire to achieve men's welfare."

Ayn Rand - The Monument Builders - 1964

Just when you think the Political Left can't get any more radical, they somehow manage to come up with crazier schemes to "help" the American people.

So, with a few additions, the Democratic party has strengthened their resolve to bring the reforms they think we all deserve.

Open Rebellion

Here's an idea that hasn't been tried since the 1860s; open warfare. Brute force disguised as compromise. Compromise usually means that both sides make concessions. One gives a little to get something in return. But there is nothing offered in return. You either go along with the plan or you are an enemy to be crushed.

A Living Wage is a Right

An unearned benefit for the worker and an unchosen obligation for the business owner and increased costs all around for the consumer. Inflation would rise and the "living" wage granted by government would just even out by the increased costs. Government imposing a price rise is not a market force and the market will react quickly and naturally to restore equilibrium. And loads of people and businesses will be hurt in the process.

You don't have a right to an income. The Founding Fathers only state that you have the right to the pursuit of happiness, not happiness itself. You have the right to take the steps you feel necessary to make you happy. This does not mean others must make you happy.

The Green New Deal

One doesn't have far to read into this "Thing" to find that it means Confiscation, Appropriation and Re-Distribution. It's great if you're the one taking, not so great if you're on the other end. And oddly, the "Poor" never seem to see a dime of it. Ask all those dead Bolsheviks who spent 3 lifetimes waiting for the payoff of the Glorious Revolution that never came. Ask all the dead Chinese who were told that abundance was just a little bit further but further than they lived to see. Ask all those stupid-assed Chavanista's who are fending for food in the daytime and trying to hold onto their misled lives at night. All easily pusueded yet stubbornly hard to convince in regards to who led them down the primrose path of good intentions and copious pools brackish water.

Climate Change is REAL! Really! It Really is!

No, it isn't. Never was. The only people who say they believe in it are the ones who foolishly think that they will be among the people who stand at the top of the heap in power. Little do they know that assassination is more likely their fate. The higher they think they'll climb the more hurt they'll feel when they realize they've lost the game. If you really do believe it's true, you basically have a weak mind and can't tell the difference between a truth and a lie.

Just the collusion between NASA and NOA exposed by WikiLeaks should have been enough to show the world how much of a hoax it all was but since Climate Change has become a religion unto itself, there's no talking to these people now. They are just insufferable, intolerant crazed berserkers.

Retroactive Birth Control

That's right folks, a woman can choose to terminate her pregnancy right up until the child is ready to start Junior High School. After that, it would be murder.

Abortion on Demand has morphed to abortion any time regardless of viability. Just kill 'em if they want. We'll make it the law.

The Rights of the State vs Individual Rights

And this is the crux of the whole thing. Does the Individual have rights to do what they desire in life or does the State have the right to tell them what their desires are and that they must sacrifice their dreams for the good of the many. To the Socialists, there is always a payoff just up the road. All your sacrifices will be worth it...later. But it's coming...just a little bit further.

Not to worry, you'll never live to see it.

Conclusion

So the 2020 election objectives are pretty darn clear. Collectivism or Individualism. In the latter, you carry the burden for yourself. In the former, you carry the burden for others.

You can give up the fruits of your labor for the greater good or you can put your sweat and efforts into providing for you and yours and expect your neighbor to do the same for himself.

There is a word for someone who toils but does not reap the benefits of their own labor. We call that person a SLAVE.

So, for whom do you want to bear the burden? Your family or someone else's?

Vote!

You'll Have No Rights without 2nd Amendment

It is the very linchpin of American Democracy.

Do you think you would have the right of assembly? Or the right of being safe in your home and among your effects? The right to really say what you want?

You see, no other country does.

France? Nope! Great Britain? Nope! Canada? No! China? Hahahahaha! I make joke!

These governments have a right to walk into your home, tell you that you can't rally or tell them to go to HELL without consequence. And sometimes dire consequence.

Europe even brands speech as "Hateful"!

Can you imagine? And they call us in the U.S. "Uncouth".

The early British invaders of the North American continent took over the place because they had guns and the Indians, for the most part, did not. Now it is said that this still might not have been enough had it not been for European diseases that the indigenous population had no defense against but one has to believe that having guns helped a great deal.

Guns also helped win the United State's independence from Great Britain. The significant part about this was that the British had flintlock smooth-bore muskets and the new Americans had...flintlock smooth-bore muskets. The British had cannon, lots and lots of cannon. The Americans had cannon too although not nearly as many but the SAME KIND of cannon and many of an equal size.

The armaments that both sides possessed at that time were, allowing for the disparity of economies and quantity, were essentially of equal technology.

And in this crucible of rebellion the reason for the 2nd Amendment was forged.

To insure that there isn't a disparity of arms of the people in contrast to the government.

Now lets face it, back in the days of the very crude flintlock non-rifled musket, it wasn't all that easy a thing to shoot someone. To avoid a flint splinter in the eye, soldiers often aimed and then turned their head to fire. Also, without "rifling", the spiral grooves gun makers later cut into the inside of a rifle barrel to make to bullet go straight, the bullet could go lots of places other than it's intended target. My theory on why the young George Washington wasn't killed at the opening of the French and Indian war at Fort Necessity, where he was a sitting duck, is that the French were probably AIMING at him.

Now here we are today with the most accurate armaments time has yet to bestow. Guns are now capable of killing a number of people quickly. But the disparity between what the citizen has access to vs what the military has at their disposal has widened considerably.

But that gap hasn't widened to the tipping point as long as we still have access to semi-automatic weapons.

So it isn't a surprise that these are declared enemy number one even though they've been around since 1885. Yes, it's a part of our history but it's not SETTLED history. The fight to keep the right to bear arms is the fight of the people vs the government itself. Not for armed revolution, but to always have the option.

The U.S. Constitution would not have been ratified by the people without the inclusion of these rights since suspicion of a federal government was high. And knowing what we know and seeing what we've seen...

There's still plenty of reason to be distrustful.

United States Escalating World Wide Warfare

President Obama has been taking some heat as the Republocrat War Mongers in the U.S. Congress have climbed over each other to gain the ear of the American public to make political hay from the advancing Muslim horde in Iraq.

This is one of the major public statements Mr Obama has said:

What I just find interesting is the degree to which this issue keeps on coming up, as if this was my decision. Under the previous administration, we had turned over the country to a sovereign, democratically elected Iraqi government, so let’s just be clear: The reason that we did not have a follow-on force in Iraq was because the Iraqis — a majority of Iraqis did not want U.S. troops there, and politically they could not pass the kind of laws that would be required to protect our troops in Iraq. So that entire analysis is bogus and is wrong. But it gets frequently peddled around here by folks who oftentimes are trying to defend previous policies that they themselves made.”

And actually, what the President said here is true. The Obama administration was indeed negotiating to stay in Iraq but that notion was shot to hell when the "Democratically elected Iraqi government" refused to indemnify U.S. troops which was a critical factor in keeping a force in that country. It wasn't like it was refused once either but the Obama administration was repeatedly rebuked in it's attempts and urging for an agreement to keep U.S. troops in Iraq. But having been denied this agreement, Obama then ordered the troop withdrawal. It was all over the news. This happened three years ago in 2011 by the way.

So in fact Obama was for keeping troops in Iraq before he started taking credit for withdrawing troops, finally, from Iraq. I mean, it was a major campaign promise back when he was elected president the FIRST time in 2008.

The Iraqi government has spoken. It's not our fight any more and really it never was. We destabilized the country and now lament that it is unstable. If Turkey wants to keep ISIS off their border I suggest they get busy and intervene their own selves. The U.S. should not be in the business of doing the dirty work for nations and governments who are unwilling to do the work and take an interest in their own defense. We've got enough to worry about right here at home.

But here in the United States, war is business. Big business.

What needs to be pointed out in all this is that the escalating arms race that we are heavily involved in is the root of the very problem we claim to be trying to solve. The more arms we supply only serves the purpose of fueling the need for, you guessed it, more armaments.

ISIS has become the best supplied army in the country why? Because they have all the tanks, Humvee and shoulder-fired rockets that we've been supplying the no-show Iraqi army. Who knew? Everybody knew! We've heard for a decade that the Iraqis weren't going to fight. Now it's a surprise. But the bottom line is: We've been sending high-end weapons over there and now ISIS' got 'em. Good Thinking!

One side orders U.S. arms to counter the arms from Russia or Iraq that the other side is getting and then we send in our armaments and so that in turn increases the orders for more Russian and Iranian made armaments. It's quite a little experiment in free market economics.

The Middle East is a weapon manufacturer's wet dream. Millions of uneducated religious fanatics going at each other driven by religious fervor, oil money and a desire to destroy the "unbelievers". The constant consumption and need for arms is just too good to pass up. And who cares if people get killed? They LIKE it when they get killed. Just too perfect.

But plenty of people who don't like it get killed too. Nothing is ultimately achieved. Generations are wasted, societies fail to advance and the people fail to prosper. Nobody is saved. It has just been a blood orgy for as long as I can remember. And many times the "Made in the U.S.A" label is on the product.

The solution is: We have to quit selling tanks to any idiot with a bank account. We've got to stop supporting demi-tyrants and dictators who's jack-boot tactics foster a dedicated opposition.

I don't want the Republocrats back if all they want to do is to continue fighting wars especially in the Middle East where we've been for over a decade just squandering our resources and children's futures. We don't need it and it hasn't been working, has it?

Selling weapons is a big money maker for the U.S. and we sell the most but at some point we've got to assess what is behind the escalating violence and it the answer is in the mirror.
