New Black Panthers Dumber Than Old Black Panthers

I’m all for an independent Black Nation just as long as they don’t expect me to pay for that too.

This misplaced anger at “America” is unfounded since most working Americans are more concerned with their jobs, families, communities and making ends meet in a volatile economy than about “Keeping the Black Man Down.” It isn't like black people don’t live in our neighborhoods already. It isn't like they don’t own good looking homes, have nice cars and have their kids in public school because they do.

It is not these black folks that anyone in the media and national radical groups care to talk about. This isn't about THEM.

It’s about the urban dwelling black youth which have grown up without fathers and only have mothers who exist on welfare and that have little opportunity and little education. These are the people that matter and it’s true to a certain extent since it is these people who are having a problem adjusting to the prospect of no future. And why wouldn't they?

So they lash out and to help them voice their distress, they have people like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and this new up and coming "leader" Hashim Nzinga. Mr. Nzinga is purportedly is the head of the NEW Black Panthers group and who can only dream of occupying a position of power like Al and Jesse where he can embezzle all the dough he cares to embezzle, screw around with all sorts of women and just get away with it like those two have always seemed to do.

Now that’s living the dream!

But until then Mr. Nzinga is an angry black man and is looking for a target. The problem is, all he has targeted as the enemy right now is AMERICA. Yes, to Mr. Nzinga “America” is the enemy. This at first glance seems rather broad. The American people are a bit preoccupied right now with their own problems.

But, to look at the situation more closely, what group would currently be in the best position to help solve these systemic social issues in our large American Urban center?

Hmmm, could it be...Democrat Mayors and their administrations?

I say that Mr. Hashim Nzinga should narrow down his “Hit List” so to speak and attempt to find the real enemy of the black youth.

Perhaps he should start with who is keeping the Welfare State the way it is. A Welfare State that favors single motherhood over two parent families. A Welfare State that does not question the whereabouts of the father or hold anyone responsible for their actions. That’s not what it’s all about, is it?

Or how about who is keeping inner city children stupid and who are the ones who won’t allow a School Voucher program that would get and WAS getting poor and minority children into better schools. That is, before the Teachers Union killed the measure like they did in Washington, DC of all places that could use it the most.  It's not "America" running that show, it's the political Left, the people who call themselves the Democratic Party who are in control of it. It's THEIR call.

No, Mr. Angry Black Man, you should go after the real enemy of poor minorities everywhere. The real enemy that robs them of opportunity that stifles ambition and instead of providing an even playing field for business to thrive in minority neighborhoods instead gives them Welfare and subsidized housing under their control. The finger-pointing bureaucrats in charge should look in the mirror. But a press release is much easier to do.

You know, the New Slavery is so different from the Old Slavery. There’s hardly any heavy lifting at all anymore. Now all that is required is that every now and then you get in a van that takes you to the polling station where you vote for the Democratic Mayor. Then you get to keep your housing and your EBT card and all the money you make any other way you can.

And it's not just Baltimore, MD. The same sorry scenario is playing out in New York City, Philadelphia, PA, Worchester, MA, Burlington, VT, Boston, MA, Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Camden, NJ, Hartford, CT, Providence, RI, Washington, DC, Chicago, IL...need I say more? Now what do these cities all have in common? A Democrat Mayor perhaps? Yes, these cities have been waging a War on Poverty for decades and decades yet no matter how much money they tax out of the working folks and spread among the "poor", the situation never seems to get any better does it? Now an intelligent person may draw a conclusion concerning this statistic.

So go ahead Mr. Nzinga, go to war with America if you can find it. I’m all for it. Like Huey P. Newton before you in a different age and time, you can go tilting at windmills and never get anywhere and "his people" will never progress.

Why?

Because he doesn't know who to fight.

Baltimore, MD: A City With No Future

I met a couple once years ago that had traveled to Obscurity, MA where I live. They had previously lived in Baltimore. They had left because of the crime, the poverty and lack of jobs. And this was in the 1980s.

They didn't have two nickels to rub together and she was pregnant and the story they told of their treatment at the hands of Baltimore's Social Services Department and the squalid conditions they had to endure made me vow never to set foot in the place. They finally resorted to packing one suitcase each and heading for the highway. They literally stuck out their thumbs on Interstate RT 95 to get out of town and when the trucker who picked them up and drove them to the Massachusetts line dropped them off, he drove off with the rest of their suitcases, which was what was left of their worldly possessions. It's a story you never forget.

Baltimore was NEVER a good place to live as far as I could tell. Never wanted to go there and I didn’t even like to drive by it on my way to somewhere else.

Baltimore represents all that is wrong with the welfare state. Like any of the crappy big cities like Philadelphia, PA, Cleveland, OH, Camden, NJ or Washington, DC, they'll give you what you need to survive but that ain’t living. And in order to get the money to fund these respective welfare states, they tax and regulate away real opportunity. Then they wonder why nobody wants to open a business in Baltimore. The money has to come from somewhere. It’s a Socialist Paradox. They take your opportunity and give you welfare and food stamps because, well, you can't find a job but there are no jobs so you quit looking and just take the short money and lump it.

There are plenty of stupid people in Baltimore. They have voted for the Social Democrats for decades and nothing ever seems to get better and they can’t figure it out. It must mean that they aren't throwing enough money at the problem. It must mean that GOVERNMENT is not doing enough!

Anyone who stays in Baltimore and thinks it’s going to get any better is a FOOL. It hasn't and it won’t. If you stay there the odds are very good you will never get anywhere in life. You have to get your ass out of Baltimore or you will only ever get what the government gives you. You’re a slave to the State. What’s the difference who your Massa is? You still have a Massa!

No opportunity, no future. The government can’t give you a future. They can’t manufacture a job without taking from others with jobs and putting the burden on THEM to support you. Without self-reliance, you can never be free. You own yourself so now what are you going to do with yourself? You going to go loot a chain drug store? That’s your future? You're just waiting for the bullet.

And it looks like the local police force are all too happy to help you out with that final exit. Yes, it seems that one of the six policemen or perhaps ALL of the six policemen tried to twist poor Freddie Gray’s head off for being, for the most part, a wise guy. It is not up to the police to decide the Mr. Gray’s fate like that, it’s for the courts and all six of them should be arrested and tried. Only in this fashion will the truth come out.  Will it happen? Most likely no, since we still have an unapologetic unaccountable police force and this is starting to lead to some big problems nationally.

But that has nothing to do with why Baltimore is a DUMP.  A dump made worse by recent lawlessness permitted if not condoned by the Leftist Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who mistakenly believed that by letting these home-grown Hooligans run rampant in the city streets unchecked that it would somehow lessen the damage in the long run. Did you see all those cop cars burning? With all the technology in those cruisers, they must cost $70,000 apiece. Where is the money to replace them going to come from? Oh, they’ll just raise taxes on businesses and property owners so no worries there.

And people are calling the cops and none are coming. If the mayor let’s this sort of mayhem happen when unrest breaks out, who is going to invest in Baltimore? Like we will see in Ferguson, businesses and people will be on the move…out of town.

And it will be a good move. Life is too short to hang around waiting for change that never comes. Better to walk away and seek opportunities elsewhere. Or they can stay and take the short money and waste their lives on a Baltimore street corner, dealing drugs and “Fightin’ the Power”.

Good luck with that.

Welfare States Weaken World Economies

Smoke and mirrors will only get you so far.

The European welfare state is finding that raising taxes and thereby raising the cost of doing business isn't getting them anywhere. Now there’s a shock.

By favoring big business, global governments ignore the real engine of the economy and innovation: Small business.

Microsoft didn’t start as a multinational conglomerate. Neither did IBM, NCR or Apple. They all started small as people armed only with an idea.

As I drive through my town, Obscurity, Massachusetts, and see empty strip malls and empty storefronts, I am reminded that there is no recovery here in the United States either. It’s all just borrowed money and eventually it will need to be paid back and when the person who is last in line puts their hand out and the person who is supposed to pay them has nothing to give them, this whole house of cards will come crashing down.

What we are finding out, like we needed to live through this again to know, is that a Welfare State is a weak state. People without work are people without purpose. Government can give people sustenance but they can’t give people purpose. Only a job can do that, a livelihood.

We have almost 100 million people receiving some kind of public assistance in this country and that is an obscenity to the American Dream. Does anybody else find it strange that government taxes people into dependence on the State and then gives them enough to get by? Had they left their money in their own pockets would they not be better off? But no, the money has to come from Government. You can’t just make it on your own. You NEED them and they will fulfill your needs.

It is a downward spiral of dependancy, despondency, drugs and violence.
Is it any wonder that the youth of our inner cities would trade their subsidized existence for the harsh terrain of Iraq or Afghanistan to fight for the new Islamic State? What do they have here to look forward to? They have substandard government schools, they have substandard government housing and they have substandard subsidies for food.

What difference does it make to these lost souls of the welfare state? Would they rather die out on the streets in a drug turf war or flock to the Iraqi Caliphate where at least they die fighting for something. A Purpose. A purpose in life is something the welfare state cannot give them.

A welfare state is a weak state.

Take a look at the world’s largest welfare states in the world today. They are all in a prolonged state of stagnation. Their economies are either contracting or growing at a pace that would be considered no growth in decades past. Their bureaucracies have become unwieldy and take too much from the people who actually produce. There is no glad talking this situation or fudging the numbers since one only has to drive down the street to see the reality of the situation. We are all approaching our individual “Lost Decades”.

When government becomes the arbiter of success, there is little success.

Millions of aimless people languishing in the welfare states means too many idle hands.
Will Islam finally accomplish what the old Bolsheviks of the last century had hoped for? Establish an Islamic state of their own and inspire like-minded people around the world to revolt against their governments, overthrow them and have the world become united in an Islamic Caliphate?

Why not? What is any of these governments offering today’s youth? You don't have to guess, I’ll tell you the answer: NOTHING. Nothing but debt and no means to pay it off. What our young people see is a slow, purposeless existence of the welfare state.

Steps have to be taken now or this will end badly.

The taxmen of the U.S., like Europe, lays a heavy hand on the populace and sucks the life out of our economies. Because of the government "safety net" here is no incentive to work. The national systems that the first world nations impose upon their people are wasteful, full of fraud and are without transparency. They answer to no one. This increases people’s powerlessness but also leads to their disenfranchisement.

Government must stop it's wasteful practices, get out of the healthcare, education and lending businesses, cut taxes, de-regulate business and put money back into the people’s pockets and end their controls or disorder will ensue. We will all pay a high price.

The welfare state has to be ended and people must learn to fend for themselves. The slaves have learned to love their slavery but no nation can continue to give services and taxpayer money away for free to anyone with a want.

Just as a union shop cannot compete with a non-union right-to-work business, a  welfare state cannot compete with an economy based on self-reliance and personal achievement.

Money should be earned. And money earned is the property of the person who earned it. Without the work/reward system, the world stops turning.

The evidence is everywhere.

Obama's Kids Are More Important Than Your Kids

It's painful to see New Jersey Governor Chris Christie prostitue himself for the Federal Government all for the hope of getting yet another disaster handout from the Obama administration. Watching Christie dance to the Federal Overlord's tune is a distressful development since he was once a hope for change in how government has been treating the American taxpayer or as the Federal Government refers to us as: Our ATM.

While our Federal Coffers are filled with IOUs and Christie has played tough with his local budget, he has demonstrated no toughness at all when it comes to the Feds picking up the tab for his states shortfalls in the form of local disaster relief. Why buget for that since the Feds will ALWAYS write a check? Good question.

But now Christie's latest groveling to the Federal God has come in an alarming form: Making disparaging public comments about one of the few organizations that is actually looking out for the Bill of Rights, the National Rifle Association. The Federal Media has trumpeted this turn of events like they always do and try to turn it into a plus for their Federal Benefactor, the President of the United States.

The NRA has every right (for now) to point out the continuing hypocracy of President Obama's edicts and to include the disproportionate privledges of the political class.

But one good thing has come from this. We know that Chris Christie is not the man we thought he was. In fact we the public have been given the clearest picture of what he really is: A short-sighted useful idiot.

Whether Christie really believes the NRA was out of line with their ad featuring President Obama's children, we'll never really know.

What we do know for a fact, however is that Christie is a politician and as such his children, like President Obama's, also enjoy the trappings of government wealth in the form of the best private schools, the very best healthcare our nation can provide and armed personal protection as well as a fabulous pension plan and a guaranteed future.

And you, you stupid slobs, have the privledge to pay for it while you're skipping yet another traveling vacation, paying off your healthcare deductable in installments, worrying if you have enough gas to get to work and shopping at fucking Walmart.

So we as a nation can rejoice as Obama's children and Chris Christie's children enjoy their privledges and will grow up to go to great colleges and gain plum assignments in government subsidized non-profits or government owned media outlets, of course. All the while your own kids are out on the streets in the line of fire, shouldering the burden of paying back their student loans, facing rising taxes & fees and trying to find a job while companies that should be hiring them are still assessing how much all the extra taxes and fees they are constantly being hit with these days will allow them to even keep the people they have never mind hiring more.

The future of our children is being squandered and their right to protect themselves and to enter the professions they choose are diminishing daily under our ever present, ever borrowing and dictatorial regime.
The message here is clear: You're kids don't rate.

While the Feds are giving your money away to the Richest Poor People the world has ever known, you and your kids have to pay the full freight and live under conditions our Political Elite no longer even identify with and who enjoy protections most taxpayers can't even imagine. These are the people who are supposed to be  looking out for us?

Let's face it. To the Federal Government, you're not only not number one, you ain't even number two!

Raising the Capital Gains Tax Hurts Every Working Person

For all you “Soak the Rich” types, one thing that should be explained is that everybody has something in the stock market. There are millions of small investors when compared to the super rich we keep hearing about. There are municipalities across this nation that have money in the stock market whether it be in floating bonds to pay for school systems and local infrastructure or town and city pension plans. They’re in there. And the small investors, people who have under $100,000.00 in scattered across different stocks like Verizon and Columbia Gas, aren’t exactly what you call wheeler-dealers in the stock market. For most people it has taken a working career to accumulate this sum.
Utilities are highly regulated and their stocks don’t swing far up or down but remain a steady source of income for retired people who have worked their whole lives to build up a nest egg. Many retired people have at least part of their savings in the stock market and it’s not particularly big money but along with a 401k and their Social Security, retired folks can live the way they were living prior to stopping working.

I want to add that these were also the people who the government stiffed out of their savings by taking over General Motors and royally screwing the small investor while practically handing the GM Union the company. Not rich people by any stretch of the imagination and actually many retired GM employees to boot!
It is the middle class investors who are the people most hurt by taxes on dividends and capital gains taxes, not the super-rich or the just plain rich who can either afford to pay the tax or more likely avoid them altogether. It’s Ma and Pa that are afraid to sell when capital gains rates go up or get whacked when they have to pay the higher rates on their dividends.

If you’re working and contributing to a 401k, you are going to see higher administration costs and fees. If you’re a small stock holder, you’re going to see a tax increase bite into your investment.
What’s that you’re saying? You don’t own any stocks in rich Wall Street traded companies so screw all the people who do? Here’s news for you:  Stock investment has been very easy for people for quite a while now. With an initial $250.00 a person can buy a big or small company’s stock direct without a broker and reinvest the dividends to purchase more stock so when it comes time to retire, they can then start to draw dividends to subsidize their other retirement savings. Many millions of people, regular middle-class people with jobs, have taken advantage of this savings option. If you have a bank account, you can have a stock account.

Plus, your private 401k as well as your teacher’s pension, your DPW pension, your Police and Firefighter’s pensions are in the stock market.
Now the government is going after this too to fund their unwieldy and on the verge of collapse welfare state.

But even if they do, it won’t be enough. Once the government gets their tax hikes, it won’t do anything to bring down the massive debt it has accumulated in just the last year, never mind the last 8 years. Even if the government declares everybody with a job “rich”, it won’t be enough. There just aren’t enough rich folks to take care of everybody else.
So when you hear people in government talking about raising the capital gains tax rates, they’re really talking about YOU.

Who did you vote for again?

Romney Understands the Economy

And President Obama clearly does not.
If you want anything in this world and wish to bring it about through your own hands and you still vote for Obama just because he’s black or you’re black, you deserve what you’re going to get.

Even if you’re getting free stuff from the government, how long do you think this will last? You can’t distribute what isn’t coming in. Redistribution of wealth relies on one thing…wealth. And the Obama plan won’t bring wealth to the government bank account.

President Obama does not know this, Romney does.

It was clear from the debate that one candidate understands what’s happening in the economy and one does not. You can’t fix something if you don’t understand it. Romney sees it clearly.  How do I know? He SAID so. He spelled it all out. The more you tax people, the less money they have to spend. Duh!

But the political Left will never see it. They are standing with their fingers in their ears, eyes closed, going “La-la-la-la-la” while Romney is explaining this simple concept. They don’t see it because they have never understood it.
The economy goes beyond politics. Politics will not make people start buying all the stupid stuff we all used to buy. Three quarters of the economy depends on people buying Salad Shooters, George Forman Grills and Pastry Toasters. This is what makes America, no, the World, run! And America drives the world economy because we buy the most stupid stuff. It’s practically a birthright. To us,  dogs, cats and rabbits are pets but to many countries in the world they are “alternative food supplies”. While some people are dressing a cat for diner, we’re dressing them in expensive pet outfits for Halloween or Christmas. This is civilization!

But this is a free choice by people who work hard for the money THEY earn! It’s their money and they can do anything they want with it.
But you tax it away, they’ll stop. They’ll give up the pets and the pet food and the pet clothes. They’ll stop buying the new microwave oven and hold onto the old one for as long as they can. They’ll stop traveling and spending the money because they won’t know if the place they work for, the Salad Shooter Company, is going to lay them off or maybe they already have. It becomes a slow downward spiral.
And yet again, this is a rebuke of the Socialist left. Once again they got it “wrong”.  The steps they have taken have been failures since they've never addressed the fundamental problem of spending money the nation hasn't earned yet. If they were going to work, they would've worked by now.

You want something more than a government handout?

America Has The Richest Poor People in the World

Can we even call people on public assistance in this country "poor" anymore? It’s the ultimate conclusion of the Robin Hood parable: robbing from the rich to give to the poor. Now it’s the people who pay who go without so the people who used to go without can have more.

In other countries the poor people live in holes in the ground, have no shoes and scavenge the dump for what they can. Or they live in corrugated shanty communities with no running water or electricity. Nobody can dispute it, they POOR.

But here in the USA, there are satellite dishes on the roofs of subsidized or rent controlled 3 bedroom apartments with cars less than 5 years old in the drive. There’s a fridge with soda, frozen veggies, hamburgers, chicken, milk and perhaps beer in them. Growing up, I knew what poor looked like but now I have a hard time distinguishing the poor from the “unpoor” these days.

What we used to call "Charity" is now part of the "Safety Net". What used to be given as a temporary helping hand is now a right.  Welfare, and it's not even called "Welfare" anymore, was once handled by local state communities, by people who knew who deserved it and who didn't. But since Welfare has been handled by the nameless, faceless Federal Bureaucracy, they can't be bothered with such things. Their job is to redistribute money. Other people's money.

And for all this, for them, roughly 1/3 of my income is taken in taxes. I would certainly be living better if I got to keep that money for myself and my family instead of it going to somebody else’s. It's especially insulting since THEY didn't earn it, I did.

Is it easier now to take the path of least resistance and remain uninvolved with working society than to strive for betterment and meaningful work? After all, the government will only take a good sized portion of it anyway. Isn’t it easier to just have the government provide? We're only working for the difference between what we get paid and what the system will pay us. Is the difference between what our perpetual unemployment system pays and what a real job would pay actually worth getting a real job? Where is the incentive? The joy of earning your first paycheck fades quickly these days when you look at how much the government takes out of it for taxes. So why bother?

But it is a fool’s paradise. By taking the short money, one will never know how far they could have gone in life or the things they could have had. By joining the ranks of the government dependent, you sure aren’t going to get anywhere. You’ll just be the same. And over time, maybe less so.
But these aren't poor people we're talking about. People in Bangladesh living on the coast during Monsoon season, they’re poor. What we have here in the U.S. are just wards of the State. A State dependent wearing a government diaper, crawling to the polls every election to vote for their supper and it’s the working people in this country who are stuck wiping their ass when they crap.

It’s now the taxpayer who goes without or pays full price, makes a choice of staying home rather than take a trip, brown bagging it for lunch instead of getting take-out and choosing a state school over a private one for their kids even though they’ve worked for it.

Shortages, inflation and price hikes affect we the taxpayer the most now as the "poor" are insulated from such things. But for how much longer can this go on? Eventually we will reach a point where we just can't pay it anymore and the system will collapse.

What will happen then?
