My Message to Kelly Anne Conway

The first time I laid eyes on Kelly Anne Conway was she was on one of the Leftist Sunday morning political programs, I believe it was 'Disgrace the Nation" or something like that. I was hanging at the counter of the my breakfast place which always had the one little TV on for our Sunday morning entertainment. The morning political shows were always a catalyst for lively debate amongst the morning rabble.

Well the show had the political hit squad on board and Kelly Anne lit into them like Grant at the battle of Richmond! She was so quick, articulate, factual and she remembered everything these people had said in the past and was using their own words to hit them over the head with and proving they were all hypocrites.

 

She left them literally stuttering. They looked lost and grasping for something more to say.

 

And I was like, "Who IS this person?"

 

I knew she was on Donald Trumps campaign staff but I've never heard a Republican liaison speak like that to the opposition, ever.

 

I mean, aren't Republicans supposed to just apologize for the accusations the media makes? They aren't supposed to fight back. I mean, they never did before. Not since Ronald Reagan.

 

This sort of offense was long over do.

Kelly Anne was so brave and fearless. She didn't care who she was talking to, she would blast them...with facts. That overstuffed Wolf Blitzer...she shredded him. No matter who went after her, she had something particular to say back to them. I can't imagine they would think it wise to keep coming at her but we all know by now that the political Left takes no backwards steps, feels no remorse or shame and will just come back day after day even when they know they're just taking a beating. If they can only convert but one soul to the dark side of human existence, then it will all be worth it to them.  

 

There was another time they had some insolent Lefty chic have a go and the results were the same. They couldn't beat her. She was the smartest person in the room. And she would just wait, smiling, for the next question.

 

There is not doubt in my mind that Kelly Anne Conway was the juggernaut that lead the Trump Team to victory. The long-marginalized voting taxpayer finally had something to cheer about.

So Kelly Anne, If you read this, don't worry. This Hatch Act baloney is just more Never-Trumper hatred. You're doing an incredible job!

But now, while I'm at it, there's something more I'd like to say to you...

Time to Dump George!

Really, don't you think it's time you leave this guy? This guy is your husband?

How can this even be?

I mean, when was the last time you even saw each other? I'm sure he's not allowed to visit you at the White House. I'm sure the guards don't even recognize him. If it wasn't for Fox News Channel putting up his picture ever time he opens his mouth, who would?. I never even heard of this guy!

But anyway, what I'm saying is, you need a man in your life. Not a whiny, jealous of your success, more than half-crazed individual that keeps trying to publicly undermine your career. There are better men out there. Men who won't try to pull themselves up by pulling others down, especially their wife!

You deserve better.

 

And just what is up with this George Conway anyway?

 

Thanks to Fox News and the Doom & Gloom Drudge Report, I can never escape the reports of George Coming out with the latest "Trump Revelation". The so-called Conservative Press reports every crazy thing he says. His vocabulary must be quite limited since he only ever says the same thing over and over again. "Trump Unhinged, Trump Unstable" Blah, blah, blah. I've already heard it from him more than once. No use hearing it again...and again.

I'm minding my own business and look up and there's old nobody George again, blathering the same sad "warnings". I guess there's no cure for Trump Derangement Syndrome.

And what kind of news station would devote so much time to an obviously sick man?

Fox New will! Good ol' Fox "click bait" news.

So what do you two even have in common? I don't see the attraction. Was it an arranged marriage back when you were both kids or something? That's ok, people make mistakes Kelly Anne but it's time you correct this one. Time to give big boy the royal shove.

You'll be better off and hopefully George will get the help he needs down the road. But that will no longer be your problem!

You've grown beyond him now. Way beyond. You are two people on opposite trajectories.

You are on the ascension!

And George is, as President Trump might put it, "Definitely not ascending"

And he just can't take it that his wife has done so much better than he ever did. This jealous outrage will only get worse.

So do the best thing you can do for yourself and send this loser packing.

The sooner the better so don't wait too long.

And when you do dump him, look, me up.

Trump Moves to Derail Assad Victory

United States under President Donald Trump has now intervened in the Syrian conflict based on an elaborate and fiercely promoted fabrication and has stated that there is now a coalition forming to again attempt to dislodge President/Dictator Bashar al Assad from his leadership at a time where it seems final victory in Syria's long civil war was within his grasp.

How convenient.

It’s all so hard to disprove a reported incident like this when it happens on the other side of the world in a land where life is cheap, prospects grim, the resources rich, the politics cutthroat and the wars...endless.

The “He’s just a crazy dictator” excuse doesn't fly concerning why Mr. Assad, with his enemies on the run and just a year or so away from certain and inevitable victory, would suddenly decide to use Sarin gas on a superficial target. What purpose would such a move serve him?  

Well of course such a thing wouldn’t serve Assad at all BUT it certainly would serve the Western nations so that they can jump back into the conflict to prevent Assad’s march to re-acquire control of the country. 

What a setup!

Think about it. Assad finally triumphs in his civil war and is in control of the country. Russia once again has a firm grip on their Mediterranean port and the threat of being pushed out of the region will cease and any new efforts or circumstances to pry Russia off the Mediterranean and Syria's government from its oil resources will take decades to manifest.

Well, that can't be allowed to happen!

What is it about U.S. Presidents that when they get their hands on control of our military that they just can't keep their finger off the button? Like Obama's love of drones or Rahm Emanuel asking "Who did we get today?" when he would walk into the office. It becomes a game to these people.

I'm supremely disappointed that President Trump has used the U.S. Military for such a spurious "reason". I'm appalled actually at this grave misstep and now all the war mongers are praising him as one of their own. 

And he now indeed belongs to them. 

Russia is now been put on alert alright but they aren't going to cut and run from the country. And the last time I checked...We're Still Broke! We've got no tax cuts, no ObamaCare repeal and so what do we do now? Why drop bombs on Syria of course! 

What could possibly go wrong? 

How about being seen as helping out radical jihadists who vow to establish a Islamist Caliphate based on Sharia law in Syria? Sleep tight Mr. Netanyahu! 

We just dropped, literally, $94,400,000.00 on our "warning" shot! That money could've gone to far better use and unfortunately it's not like it's going to be the last time Mr. Trump is going to piss away taxpayer money "for the little babies!" that the U.S. citizenry hasn't earned yet as he flexes his new found might. What a loss this is. 

And all I really wanted was a tax cut and better health care. 

An agent or nation that would greatly benefit from U.S. intervention pulled this stunt and to find the people who benefit is to find the people who did it. Or a more likely scenario is that they ALL were in on it to some extent since there are so many with motive to snatch the victory from Assad's hands either for spite, for gold or for mere conquest.

It's just all too neat and tidy for me not to smell a rat in all this. But Trump has made his move so willingly or unwillingly we are all going along for the ride and regardless of his true motivation or whether the United States can afford entering yet another costly conflict we have no business being in, here we are again.

How great is that?

Sean Hannity Clueless on Drug Legalization

He is a man left behind by the times, unable or unwilling to see the world for what it is.

Sean Hannity is a man so in denial that his ability to see any situation clearly is suspect. How can anybody believe a word this guy says when he can only recite the same wrong-headed party line over and over again in disguise of a plausible argument? And it’s not really the party line anymore since other conservatives have shown the brains to acknowledge that the War on Drugs has been a monumental failure.

That’s right, in the 35 years of the current police buildup and passage of strict and punitive anti-drug laws; drugs are more prevalent than ever in American society.

How can that be?

It’s because a market force is greater than governments. It is stronger than any military might. It will corrupt the incorruptible, sway the unswayable and bend a people to its eventual recognition of the reality of its power.

All except Sean Hannity that is, he’s just an idiot!

I had the unfortunate experience of channel surfing through his FOX radio program while he and some other idiot born with the same condition were tag-teaming a young lady with more brains in her pinky finger than Hannity and the other yo-yo boy who was on his side.

Here’s an excerpt of his skillful questioning:

“You want to legalize drugs?”

“Yes”

“Even Heroin?”

Now this is the question, with the exception of Rand Paul, that most Libertarians always seem to choke on when on the air with one of these professional "outraged" radio wags and this woman did just that. She started to stumble which gave Simple Sean an opening to jump in and start naming every drug he had learned about in 6^th grade when a local police officer would come to school to talk to the class about drugs and bring a plastic marijuana leaf to show the class.

“How about Crack Cocaine?”

“How about OxyCodon?”

And he went on in rapid-fire like some 5 year old asking “Why” to everything.

People made the mistake of calling in to agree with this woman. I could picture Hannity sitting there with his fingers in his ears.

Thirty-five years and Billions of dollars on punishments, jails, corrections officers, wages, benefits, pensions and courts all a waste of time and money.

The reason why the government is reluctant and especially the Republocrats to go along with legalization is that if legalization were to occur, what would they do with all the cops and jail workers? They’d have to lay them off or create another boogie-man for them to chase after. But the end of this charade is inevitable. They can’t continue to throw money at it because it’s not making any money back. The States are loosing their shirts and the shirts of their taxpayers who are very close to becoming the stone you can’t get blood out of, they’re tapped out and the government has bled them dry at this point.

The massive corrections system is yet another giant house of cards that cannot be sustained. Better to tear it down now than to have it collapse.

Yes Mr. Hannity, drugs are bad. People should not take them. They are not good for anybody in the long run. BUT that's not the point.

The Prohibition on drugs wasn't about drugs being bad. It was about good jobs at good wages paid by the Federal Government. It was about buying the vote, paid for with tax dollars. It was about controlling the ethnic people's who enjoyed them like the Mexican migrant workers  who used marijuana and the Chinese railroad workers who enjoyed Opium. They had to be more productive. 

And the reason now that so many states are debating and legalizing marijuana right now is because they can’t stop the drugs from coming into the country and they can’t stop them from being produced locally. Period! So much product is pouring into the country that they can't even fathom the amount that they are NOT stopping. On top of that, domestic output has increased. Where there is a want, people will work to fulfill those wants. That is the invisible hand of the marketplace that people on the political Left refer derisively as Capitalism and it will win in the end.  

Speaking of Capitalists, the Taliban is making millions off of the sale of Heroin and with that money they are buying GUNS! Guns and bomb making materials so they can kill people. This is a direct result of driving drug production underground and into the hands of criminals instead of being above board and transacted in the light of day. 

In the mean time, the United States has become a Police State where every bank transaction over $5,000.00 is reported to the government so they can try to track, supposedly, illegal drug money going over seas. For tracking cash transactions for regular honest tax paying citizens, this has worked but for tracking drug money in particular, this too is a failure. They could reduce the amount to $100.00 and still they will fail. There is just too much of it. 

The corrections system that was set up to put drug users and dealers in jail is bankrupting the states. Since the Drug War has made everybody a criminal, our inner cities have become the equivalent of the OK Corral with local gangsters shooting it out with larger national gangsters and foreign drug cartels and people dying and police dying and innocent people being caught in the cross-fire.

And what is Sean Hannity’s answer to all this?

“America’s borders aren't secure enough, we must secure the boarders.”

Yes, that was Hannity's answer!

I don’t know what circles Hannity travels in but it has to be a small one. Where does this guy get his news? Does he even go out of the house? If he actually went and pumped his own gas, and I will bet money he DOESN’T, he might actually see the kid on the bike putting his hands into the driver’s side door of somebody who pulled into the Quick Mart and make a drug transaction like I did in my mostly lily-white neighborhood here in Massachusetts.

Mr. Hannity, I've got news, the boarders were NEVER secure. Never secure. They are NOT secure NOW and they WEREN'T secure in the fucking 1950s, 60s or 70s either! They were never secure and they WILL NOT GET secure enough to keep out drugs. Drugs come in on trucks, they come in on boats, they come in on planes and in the case of marijuana, grown RIGHT HERE in the good ‘ol USA.

I had to finally turn my radio to the Oldies station or I was gonna drive off the road.

Nobody is that STUPID! This is what you get when people are right wing for a living. They have to say stupid stuff because they are supposed to be a certain way or they can't sell advertising. If he wasn't on the radio talking like a man in a cave, what else can this guy do? 

The money currently going into Drug Prohibition would be better spent on rehab facilities than on jails. The jails have not stemmed the tide. All the laws passed in the last 35 years has not stemmed the tide. All the police put on the street have not stemmed the tide.

The only thing that is going to keep your kid from using drugs is education, not the threat of jail.
Of course it all begins at home but since drugs are everywhere in America, on every street corner, in every school and every college campus, your best protection is communication and staying connected to the reality of the situation and being plugged into the world we all live in and share for this short time we have here on Earth. Don't isolate yourself. 

Don’t be a Hannity!

Three Myths About Ron Paul

This is a follow-up to my August 2011 blog “Nine Myths about Libertarianism” which anyone who has obviously stumbled upon this site by accident should take a look at first.

BEING A CANDIDATE for President of the United States invites scrutiny. It also invites volumes of talk and speculation from people who appear to getting paid by the word for their opinions. Other than the re-emerged Newt Gingrich, the candidate that has garnered many outlandish accusations is Ron Paul.

At first the mainstream press ignored him and hoped that we would too. But that did not happen and Ron Paul’s popularity grew. So the alternate plan is to now broadcast that people who believe in Ron Paul as a candidate are “followers”.  Yes, Ron Paul has been described as a cult leader or he has a “cult following”.  Iowa must be just flooded with “followers”. This is the “can’t win” scenario those who support Ron Paul’s run for the Presidency and Libertarians in general face all the time.

Other terms used by radio mainstreamers like that renowned war monger, Sean Hannity and his egomaniac co-horts; the volatile Andy Levin, faux Libertarian Jay Severin and “I hate everything I don’t understand” blue-collar millionaire Howie Carr include: “Ron Paul Lunatics”, “fanatics” and people following Ron Paul “in lock-step”. 

Andy Levin has described Ron Paul as a “kook” which I find a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black if anybody has had the astricted “pleasure” of listening to this guy go nuts about some “super important” subject that we should all drop what we’re doing and immediately go running out into the streets in protest. I’ve listened to Levin and if anybody is a kook, it’s him. Sometimes I swear he’s going to have an aneurism right on the air the way he gets worked up into a frenzy. If anybody knows anything about being misunderstood, it should be Andy Levin.

When all these Talk-Jocks were on the outside looking in, it was all about gaining support as outsiders and finding a following. Now that they are “in”, it is they that are in lock-step.

But at any rate, although I don’t pretend to know Ron Paul, I actually listen to what he says and know something about the principles he stands for which are the principles most Libertarians share.

Myth #1:

Ron Paul is for Open Borders - Then why did he vote to institute the fence along the US border with Mexico? Why did he vote against Amnesty for Illegal aliens in this country? Why is he against the extension of taxpayer paid benefits to illegal aliens? It makes no sense to say he is for open borders if he didn’t vote that way. I never heard him say it but have been told by many a right-wing Republocrat that he said it. It just doesn’t jibe with what I’ve heard him say and the way he has voted. Unlike another Congressman named Barack Obama, Ron Paul has a voting record other than “Present”. I suggest people check it out.

Ron Paul knows as you and I know that a poor, dependent and divided population is easier to rule and that a nation of self-confident individuals who can make a living on their own is a libertarian ideal. I find the open borders argument tiresome.

Myth #2

Ron Paul is weak on foreign policy – The thing I hear most is “Isolationist”. I don’t understand how “Free trade and non-intervention” is Isolationist. Especially the free trade part. There are many pundits with an agenda who say the world is different today, that being involved in the affairs of sovereign nations is necessary in a new world. But this “World Policemen” hat has not made the United States one bit safer.  The Isolationist card is always thrown when someone’s views vary from the idea of populating the world with our military personnel. This is foreign policy? Trade agreements and alliances are foreign policy and the money spent keeping bases all over the world can better be spent on defense right here at home. In addition to this, Ron Paul has never said the United States wouldn’t come to the aid of an Allie. The United States and it's people give greatly when there is a friend in need. I don't see this changing, do you?  but Ron Paul has said that, in the case of Iran, that the United States has no right to interfer and that the drum beating for interferance is mearly another excuse for the US to start another war. This is something we've been doing since I've been alive and has not made us any safer in the long run. It has actually worked in the opposite since all the Arab nations are now clamoring for the bomb because they now know that having it offers some protection.

Myth #3

Ron Paul is protected from criticism by his “followers” who call up the talk shows and challenge them on everything they say negatively about him. – First off, I guess his "followers" aren't doing such a good job but my second thought would be "So nobody else calls when their candidate is shown in a negative light?"

Ron Paul is popular for a reason.  It is obvious that his message resonates with people tired of trying it “the old way” AGAIN. I admit that I have felt that some of these attacks on Mr. Paul also attack my own belief system. Let’s face it, what Libertarians believe is often misrepresented in the press. Not surprisingly, the Tea Party is in the same boat. Some of the stuff I hear just galls me to action.

Ron Paul goes to the debates and he makes the radio talk show rounds like all the candidates do. He goes on Fox News and seems as open to the slings and arrows as anybody on the campaign trail.  I say ask the guy anything. The world needs to know. It isn’t like he’s a stranger to the American public or has changed his tune over the years. It's that now more people are paying attention.  

SO WE SHALL SEE how Ron Paul does in Iowa or if his heightened status and the criticism it brings will have any sway with the public. The people who have the microphone and the forum can do with it as they please but we don’t have to believe what they say.

The Iraq Withdrawal: The Right Thing for the Wrong Reason

Just short of nine years, our involvement in Iraq this time, lasted longer than WWII, The Civil War and our American Revolution. Billions of dollars were spent, thousands of US lives were lost and the goals of the conflict and it’s eventual outcome remain unclear. So it has been announced that the US is leaving Iraq.

And the American War Machine is Pissed!

With the loss of Iraq, there is less justification for new armaments and facilities, less catered War Rooms, less opportunity for advancement and less travel. No more junkets paid for by Raytheon, Boeing and Lockheed. The budget is sure to get cut. We'll lose all the chics who dig a man in uniform! What’s a war monger to do?

War has always been a growth industry in America. Since before I was born, we went from Korea to the Vietnam “Conflict” (to 1975), supporting the Contras in Nicaragua from 1977 to 1984, Invasions of Grenada (1983) Panama (1989) the first Persian Gulf War (1990-91), Haiti (1994-95) Kosovo (1999), etc. And through most of this the Cold War was running until 1991 and now with the War on Terror (2001-?) which involves our even longer stay in Afghanistan. Then there is our incredibly wasteful War on Drugs (1984 to Infinity). I know I'm leaving things out but I've only allowed myself one paragraph for war chronicles so to just paraphrase:

Guns, guns, guns!

But now, for the first time in a long time, one of our true growth industries has to cut back. Oh, the Sean Hannity of it!

And it wasn’t even because we really wanted to. No, no, this was not our government's first choice.

President Obama, for all his initial inexperience in “foreign relations” has really embraced his roll as Commander in Chief. So much so he has totally set aside his avowed campaign pledge of bringing our men and women home after he was elected and in fact started a few more fights for good measure. But the president was unable to secure a guarantee from the Iraqi Parliament that our troops would continue to be protected from prosecution for war crimes in the international courts. This and only this has served as the impetus for the United States to finally withdraw our troops from the country. Can you believe it? 

As a Libertarian, I have always been disappointed that so called Conservatives have a propensity to back military initiatives and odd constitutional amendments like the silly “Anti-flag Burning Amendment” but it’s the Progressives in government that really tend to expand on that mentality with a sort of “ I didn’t start it but I’ll finish it” military fervor. For me, it just reinforces my belief that Republicans and Democrats are just part of the same government syndicate. I haven’t seen much difference between that war monger, free spender GW Bush and that war monger, free spender Barack Obama other than one ran a baseball team for awhile and the other has never held a real job.

The remarkable thing is that none of this almost constant warfare has served to make this nation a safer place to live. Our “foreign entanglements” have put us more and more in harm’s way and have not only drained our resources but has fostered animosity to the point that our malls, city centers and schools have become the soft targets of a growing discontent with our ever expanding interventions. One can blame Hollywood for it’s exportation of cinematic depravity but having Syrian troops shoot cans of CS gas with the “Made in Jamestown, PA USA” label on them into houses with women and children living there sends a different message. It says “We sold the people who want to kill you this poison.” Enough said.

So at any rate, we can cheer that our troops are coming home or rather we can rejoice because we get to see them again before they are reassigned to some other altercation we’re cooking up.

I here Uganda is the next “Boom Town”.

A Nuclear Iran and Libertarian Thought...

The media thinks they run the country.

But I'm here to tell you that they don’t. How do I know? Because Ron Paul came very close to winning the Iowa Straw Poll despite the constant onslaught by media wags on the Left and the Right that he is “too radical” in his beliefs. That he is too “out there” what ever that means.

Yet Ron Paul came within 152 votes of winning the poll and turning the political establishment on its ear. Too bad for that but his views are worth noting.

A nuclear Iran: Yes, Iran with the bomb is an unpleasant thought. But what are we willing to do to prevent such a thing? Invade Iran? Bomb them into the “stone age?” It’s a nation of 73 Million people, something that seems to have been lost in the debate. It’s been talked about but it’s merely just saber rattling.  We aren’t going to do anything of the kind.

Sooner or later Iran will get the bomb. Every other nation in the region already has it. And only Iran is going to be responsible for the consequences if they ever attempt to use it. The bomb has a very sobering effect on a country. They have protection but they also raise their profile as a target. Witness Pakistan and India. Both have had the bomb for ages and have been in conflicts but neither has the stomach for what may happen if one side should use it.

It can not be disputed that it was the United States who shielded, armed and supported the brutal Shah of Iran in the oppression of his people. It therefore could not be called surprise when the Shah was overthrown and the radical Islamic movement that had fomented under his regime came to power and immediately denounced the U.S. This was the fruit of the seeds sewn by the foreign entanglements that has passed for foreign policy of the United States over the last 50 years. Libertarians see this. This isn’t a radical idea that this practice should end. This will save not only the United States but the world a lot of misery in the long run. 

So what is the answer to a nuclear Iran? Are we to engineer another change in the country and put in place another benevolent dictator? Hardly likely given that we've already have been fighting wars on three fronts, one for almost ten years now. In fact we've been involved in armed conflicts in that region of the world since 1979 and given our complicity with the Shah, much longer. And we wonder why would Iran want the bomb?

When Ron Paul says to the nation that he wants to close the more than 700 military bases around the world and bring our men and women home, he speaks to a nation weary of constant warfare.

Yes, this is why Ron Paul is considered a radical. The amount of money invested in such a world wide military structure is staggering yet would be viewed as obsolete in a Ron Paul Whitehouse. Make no mistake, we will still need a well armed and well trained cutting edge military but to protect us here at home and not to act like mercenaries for commercial interests abroad. To the military establishment and their Republican enablers, this is radical thinking. But my question to them would be this: " Has the last 50 years of warfare brought us any closer to peace and are we as a nation any safer?" I think you know the answer to that.

Libertarians know what Ron Paul is talking about because to them it’s clear. It’s only radical to the ones who want to stick with and double down on policies that have only proven to be failures and the longer this goes on, the worse it’s going to get. Our country is on shaky pins.

If the United States as a Republic is to endure, the change will need to come from how we think and how we look at the world as a whole, not what a panel or political party or focus group says is so. There is another way.

Sean Hannity is an egomaniac and a war monger...

I just heard Mr. Hannity on the air trying hard to paint Pastor Terry Jones as a person who wants to put our military men and women in harm’s way just because General Petraeus says that by burning the Koran, he would be doing just that.

What a load of drivel!

First, Hannity is all for these wars. He does not care why they're being fought just as long as the US is out there beating the bushes for God and Country. Second, he is just a raging egomaniac to rival only Bill O'Reilly in pomposity.

According to Hannity, people in the Middle East are all whipped up because someone in the U.S. is burning the Koran. Not a Bible, oh no, but the Koran! They are killing people because of this and somehow, it's Terry Jones’s fault. No responsibility is placed upon the killers or the imams that lead them. No, it's not their fault they've killed people since they can only be the witless dups of Terry Jones. It's his fault after all. Just ask General Petraeus. People don't kill; Terry Jones drives them to kill.

Where have I heard this argument before?

The way I see it, our military men and women are already in great danger. There are bad people looking to cut their heads off. There are local soldiers and police they are fighting side by side with that they can't trust for fear of being shot in the back. There are people burying bombs in the road just waiting for them to drive by. There are people making great heaping wads of money from this whole escapade and they're just willing pawns. So can someone tell me, how much worse can it get for them?

The only way it can get worse is to have over-blown right wing diehards in the government media who are just too quick to willingly give up their right to free speech and freedom of expression just because some guy in the army hierarchy who's more politician than fighter says so! That's how.

Hannity has proven himself a lock-step, linear thinker who has no idea on how to actually solve a social ill. For example, he still thinks the War on Drugs is effective in keeping drugs out of our society and should be continued if not expanded. He thinks that it just needs more resources to be successful. He must be the only one who still clings to this idea. He can't get off it, he doesn't know how.

General Petraeus' words are just smoke and mirrors. If he was so concerned about how much danger our soldiers are in over there, he would never have gone along with the prosecution of such an endless war with no clear defined objective, with such restrictive rules of engagement that puts every American boy and girl in needless danger and has been so wasteful of our resources. A war that has now surpassed all American wars including the eight years of the American Revolution as the longest war we have ever fought. Is anyone reminded of the story of the fall of Rome?

A man like Hannity is all for the rights bestowed by the U.S. Constitution...right up until it runs afoul of his concrete beliefs. One day he will rail about the right of the individual to say what they think and the next he is yelling at a lawyer who wants to make the Pledge of Allegiance an option rather than a mandatory exercise where non-compliance is a punishable offense.

You can't have the Constitution both ways Mr. Hannity.

Hearing Sean Hannity talk is like listening to Harry Reid. They have an idea of what things should be like and nothing and nobody will sway them and they will use any oratory means to humiliate someone with a contrary opinion.

Terry Jones has every right to do what he's doing and he should continue to do so! He's not endangering our soldiers any more than the people who sent them to the Middle East and have wasted the past 10 years in a protracted war for... wait, why are we there again?
