James Comey Lies Like a Rug

For an FBI guy, Mr. Comey seemed to never be able to keep his mouth shut. And now that he's been fired, he's upped his word count. Why would anybody believe one word out of this man’s mouth?

Wasn't he the man who was trying to play God with Hillary Clinton’s election campaign? Why would he announce reopening the email investigation right before the 2016 election? Then, he acts “nauseous at the thought" that perhaps he was the reason Hillary didn't win the Presidency?

Yes, downright appalled he was.

James Comey provided the muscle for the last administration. There were NO Executive Branch investigations for 8 years prior and now apparently there are dozens of ongoing investigations into the Trump Administration?

Totally believable, right? 

Did Donald Trump tell Comey to quit the “Russian Investigation”? I'd say no but even if he did, why would anyone believe he did just because James Comey said he did? Why would anyone believe the hellishly bent-to-the-left Washington Post either when they repeat it? Now suddenly these two are are the pillars of truth and the American Way, to which I cry "Horse Shit!".

But then you hear every radio wag Left and Right acting like what Comey is saying is the truth. It makes no sense other than the very real statistic that the American Public is hanging on every word of the major and minor media outlets and their ratings are going through the roof because of it so why not act like what Comey said is what really happened?

Truth comes in second to ratings and advertising dollars.

Talk Radio

I never understood what motivates a person to call a radio talk show. They get a sentence or two out and the radio “personality” uses that as an impetus for a 5 minute monologue of their own profound observations.

How easy is it to produce one of these radio shows? They get somebody who pulls up the Drudge Report and says, “Should President Trump be impeached? What do you think? “and then they sit back as a mad horde clamors for their phone. Do these people have to go to school to do this job?

And don’t people have better things to do with their time? Plus the commercials are off the charts, 8 to 12 straight minutes of 1-800-222-2222, again, that's 1-800-222-2222, call now!

As Johnny “Rotten” Lydon once said; “Ah haha! Ever get the feeling you’re being cheated?”

Matt Drudge Turns on Trump

Has anyone else noticed that MOST of the articles on Drudge these days are from Left Wing publications such as Bloomberg, New York Times, The Washington Post, People Magazine…PEOPLE MAGAZINE?

And none are favorable articles when it comes to the President. These articles are merely a constant source of non-facts, speculation without proof and innuendo. It’s one thing for your enemies to slander you, it’s another to have your friends tell you what they said and not even offer a defense. 

This is the Drudge Report today, right now.

One should keep one thing in the front of their mind if they are going to consume this “brain filler” that passes for news: That all these outlets aren't there to bring you insightful and enlightening news to help you form an opinion. They are there to SELL you things.

And a part of the pitch is to return an emotional response. They would like you to be outraged. They want you to jump through a hoop. Better yet, they want you to jump through THEIR hoop. And most people are doing just that if you look at the comments section of most anti-Trump article.

Badmouthing Trump sells. 

They’d throw Donald Trump under the bus if it gets them a higher rating, and they have so easily. Drudge made his bones on attacking the last president so why should he flip the script? He's just getting his "news" from a different source these days, that's all. 

Comey’s Memo

There is no memo of Donald Trump asking Comey to drop the Flynn “investigation”. Not an authentic one anyway. Believe him if you want but I don’t. Not for one instant.

Before, James Comey was merely untrustworthy, now he’s beyond belief.

Donald Trump did not ask Comey for his loyalty since we all know that Comey had already pledged his fealty to President Obama. And owing to his loyalty to the former president, Mr. Comey will say anything to bring down the present one. He brought down Hillary not for Trump's sake but for his previous boss. 

It’s all a subterfuge and people who are red up to the ears over all this nothing should stay away from the television and radio talk shows and perhaps pick up that book they have been meaning to read.

There are no Russian’s invading our voting ballots. G.W. Bush did not blow up the World Trade Center. Bruce Lee, Elvis Presley and Jim Morrison are all really dead, The Vietnam War was unwinnable from the beginning and Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he killed John F. Kennedy. Oswald was a Marine marksman for Christ’s sake, a crack shot.

Recognizing the Obvious

There will be no impeachment of Donald Trump. But if such a thing should come to pass, the State of the Union would be on very shaky pins. If the GOP goes along with such a bald-faced Coup d'Etat, and make no mistake, the GOP is every bit as untrustworthy as the DNC, markets will fall, consumer confidence will tumble and voters everywhere Democrats and Republicans will know unequivocally that whatever they desire their particular candidate to achieve for them WILL NOT HAPPEN EVER.

Why bother voting if your vote doesn't bring the changes you voted for?

Pence No Answer

If something should happen to Donald Trump and we are left with the inscrutable Micheal Pence, the "Government Alternative Candidate" a return to the status quo can be expected. The Trump Tax Cuts will become "Too Costly", repealing the Affordable Care Act will now be "too ingrained upon the fabric of our nation." and nothing is ever, ever, ever going to change in your lifetime or the lifetime of your children. Oh, and Pence will be a one-term President but so what? Nothing will matter if Donald Trump is allowed to be ousted. The damage will have been done.

The Left Needs Trump

Without Donald Trump in the White House the television ratings for CNN, MSNBC and all those unfunny failed stand-up comedian nitwits on late night will tank and Democratic Party campaign funds will dry up. For the Political Left, campaigning against Micheal Pence after Donald Trump is gone would be like campaigning against your own brother.

People will go back to talking with their wives and children after work and Saturday Night Live will go back to being a trivia question: “When was the last time you watched SNL?”

So turn it all off, go about your business. Be confident that you are going to have the appropriate response should Government Deep State re-assert itself and react in your own self-interest. But until something outside of all this crazy talk should actually happen, there is no use getting worked up about it. Let them Impeach Trump and THEN react. Quit jumping through hoops every time a Television or Radio "Journalist" says something nutty.

Flag Burning and the First Amendment

I think this is all rather funny.

President-Elect Trump, as we all know by now, is an opinionated man and he’s still 100% better than anybody else who ran to be in the White House. I've traveled to see Mr. Trump speak on two occasions and am not worried about my choice in the least.

And really, nothing is going to change despite what the president elect said about what should happen to people who burn the American flag. Nothing.

After all, the American flag is made to burn. That’s what it is there for. It is a thing, an object, a symbol. And being a symbol, just a symbol, it is never going to be as important as what it was made to represent: FREEDOM.

The American flag is the most burned flag in the world. The Arabs in Gaza burn it, the Iranians burn it, Venezuelans burned it during Chavez' rule and now they burn it mostly to keep warm at night but most importantly, American’s burn it.

I really have no issues when I see protesters burning the American flag. If it’s overseas I always wonder where the heck they got all those U.S. flags so fast to respond to the latest "outrage". I mean, who sells American flags in the Middle East? There must be a concession just for people who want to burn them.

But when I see a U.S. government flag burned in America by Americans, all I think of is Freedom, the U.S. Bill of Rights and that our Constitutional government, despite its sometimes glaring misdeeds and indiscretions, still works on a level that no other country in the world does. A country that can stick to the rules set down by people who knew well the dangers of runaway despots and tyrant wanna-bes who would pass laws over the people with just their pen and their phone.

When I see a U.S. flag burn at the hands of the indignant, I think “This is what it’s all about.”

In fact, everybody should get out and burn the American Flag! 

But I realize that some people get confused. They think this symbol of our nation is MORE important than the nation itself and the principles upon which it was built, that this flag, this THING has importance unto itself over and above what it was meant to stand for. 

This is clearly wrong thinking. 

I have to laugh at all this since EVERYBODY seems to be all for the Right of Free Speech right up to the moment they hear something THEY don’t like. Then “There ought to be a law!”

And there is a law:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

And there you have it.

Nice speech needs no protection. There is no "but" after the sentence "I believe in freedom of expression..." You either have freedom of speech or you don't. 

There is no such thing as "Hate Speech" or "Free Speech Zones". It is all Free Speech and it can be spoken anywhere one wishes to speak it. The "Free Speech Zone" is the United States of America. 

Where else you going to find it, Cuba?

In fact there are many so called "First World" nations that don't have free speech protections. France for one, Japan for another. Forget about China, no free speech there and Russia? Fugettaboutit!

In Canada, a country where nobody wants to burn their flag, free speech is a "fundamental freedom" but the government is allowed to pass laws limiting free speech when justified, whatever that means and it doesn't mean much. 

But in these United States, it's not just The Law, it's on the top of the list of the first Ten Laws of the New Republic and it's there for a very good reason. 

You may not like it, Barack Obama may not like it, Donald Trump may not like it and Hillary Clinton, she certainly doesn't like it but that's not the point is it?

The point is, it's there.

And tens of hundreds of thousands of Americans have died over more than 240 years so far, to defend it.

Is that important enough for you?

So other than giving both right and left wing radio touts another reason to flap their gums and for people with nothing better to do with their time to call them up and give their opinions, nothing is going to change. There isn’t a Supreme Court Justice sitting today no matter who appointed them, who would vote to change the right to burn the American Flag.

So just go live your lives and use your time here on God’s Green Earth for better things than jumping through hoops laid down by partisan media types who's only real interest in the story is selling advertising for their stations at your expense.

Go out and live. 

The Death of AM Radio: Call 1-800-888-8888. That’s 1-800-888-8888…

The AM band now only exists to sell you things. There is precious little content compared to the never ending commercial breaks. There are commercial breaks every 4 minutes and then go on for 12 minutes at the end of each hour. Many times they’ll come back from a commercial break and go into another commercial break. The streams of 800 numbers just run together after a while and are only broken up by the dot com ads. But whatever it is, I'm not buying.

It used to be you got the 800 number twice. Now you get it 4 times per ad. Once they start it’s just a stream of 1- 800 blah blah blah numbers and it’s just so annoying that once they start, I turn the radio off and leave it off. I'm off the AM dial for the most part these days. It's not that I don't like the shows but now I have lost my tolerance for all the extra bullshit you have to go through to listen to them. No program is worth listening to all these ads over and over. The more ads, the the quicker I turn it off.

And it’s the same 4 companies advertising on these channels so for any given 3 hours of programming you’ll hear the same ad 15 or more times. I mean, you would if you were still listening by that time.

Then on the weekends most of the channels have NO CONTENT at all since the entire weekend is now thrown over to paid programing which consists solely of either money management groups or herbal supplement companies hawking their wares disguised as radio shows. Think about it; for two whole days there is nothing but advertising. Each "show" is really just a three hour commercial with commercials in them.

I don’t know what kind of person calls these AM talk shows but they always get cut off by the host and hardly get a word in edgewise since their call only serves as a foil for the host who will pontificate about whatever it is the caller starts to say before they inevitably come up against a “hard break” meaning they're getting disconnected. Why would people do this to themselves? The world will not change by you calling a radio station, AM or FM, to complain about something and then getting cut off. Think about it.  

I don’t think these AM channels are making any money. Perhaps it’s the licensing fees they pay the FCC or the taxes or whatever it is but I think the margin is so thin these days for radio stations that they have to beat listeners over the head incessantly with advertising in order to cover their nut each month. I can think of no other explanation. Would they do things this way if they had a choice? I don’t know why I had put up with this crap for so long. 

It is reminiscent of how the cable companies continue to package a land line phone “for free” with your cable TV plan so that telemarketers can still have a way into your household. Nobody needs a land line phone anymore and even grandma can use a cell phone. Really, old people ain’t that dumb. It’s still a PHONE and they still work the same way they always have, just without the wires.

I don’t care what happens to these stations anymore. They've become un-listenable. If an AM station can't make money without spewing all these 800 numbers incessantly then sell it to someone who can since they must be in the wrong line of work.

It's a shame because I grew up with AM radio and actually enjoy radio more than television since you can actually do things while listening to the radio as opposed to having to sit and watch television. So the good old days of radio are gone and my tolerance for lack of content and non-stop merchandising has gone with it. 

I really toughed it out during the election cycle but now I'm OUT.

Media Blitz’s Ron Paul - Radio/Print Establishment Unite Against Libertarian Candidate

I think this is unprecedented in my life time. I find this all day everyday media blitz on radio and in print against US Presidential candidate Ron Paul alarming.

Never before have I witnessed all media, those from the political Left and the political Right, come together to totally thrash a leading candidate to the extent they are campaigning against Ron Paul.

Not Mike Dukakis, not George W. Bush, not Al Gore or even Barry Goldwater has had this kind of blistering rhetoric come from BOTH sides of the political spectrum. 

Makes you wonder what the big deal is about this guy. Why, after 35 years, is he now a threat?  How can a man who campaigns on a platform of peace, liberty and the individual pursuit of happiness be branded by ALL media as a ‘Kook”?  I have yet to hear one talk-jock say Ron Paul is relevant or electable. He’s both and his ideas have found a home in the American public. And the government establishment knows it.

For decades the United States has been ruled by a band of elites that take turns at the presidency. Democrat or Republican makes no difference, they are the same person and their policies only get continued by the next politburo appointee.  What this political establishment has done is allow illegal aliens to overrun the country, built a towering entitlement program that is a large contributor to the bankrupting of the country and the undermining of individuals beliefs in self-sufficiency. Their expansion of government into all aspects of our lives is unwieldy, inefficient and profoundly expensive. We have generations of welfare recipients and people who feel they cannot live without what government gives them. Such a waste.

The present syndicate that is running the nation is out of control in their spending and their militarism. With every passing administration, we find it more out of step with how the American taxpaying public feels. Is Ron Paul a nut or is he the only one saying what the people already know?

But to see this play out on the airwaves and the dying print media is to marvel at how far the established media will go and how shrill they are sounding. They know the policies of the past are failures but are willing to back them because that’s how their bread is buttered. How short sited they are since when we as a nation run out of bread, they too will run out of bread. They don’t live so high that they can’t fall also. No one will escape if the United States falls.

Time to go in another direction and there’s no better time than right now.
