State Governors Killing the Economy

By now people should have figured this out. The lockdowns are not about public safety. They are about purging the optimism of the Trump Economy. They are about destroying what the last four years has built.

It isn't the Virus that is doing this, it is the actions of the Governors and especially the Leftist Governors in the states of Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Michigan etc. They are purposely killing their economies with their shutdowns, rollouts and then return to shutdowns. They have just dangled hope of opening to these businesses for months when initially they said "three weeks". It's all bullshit and quite illegal since none of these actions have been taken with approval of the state legislatures. But the governors own the courts, they appoint the judges and they authorize their pay so when citizens appeal to the judicial branch, they get BUPKIS!

Living in Fear

There's very little truth being told over the airwaves and this is just the way things are going to be from now on with the recent overthrow of the Republic. You still have the same remote chance of succumbing to the Virus as you had 9 months ago which is less than 2%. The idea that nobody is dying from anything else these days should be a point for pause. The regular flu used to kill about 35 to 55 thousand people a year in the USA but I guess that it doesn't any more.

As Dean Wormer said back in the movie Animal House, "Fat, Dumb and Stupid is no way to go through life, son." and I have to conquer. You call this living? Living in fear of your fool life and afraid to live it? This is what this country was built on? I'm frankly surprised at how many Rubes bought into this scheme so quickly and so totally to the point where they'll walk in the street with their back to traffic just to avoid walking past me on the side walk. I say to them "You know, you can be killed doing that." and they never say anything back or change their stride. It's one big con and here we are 9 months on they STILL haven't figured it out!

Quite frankly, I'm appalled at the behavior. Yes, you can get sick and die. But you can do that every day of the week every year of your life. Death stalks the human race every day.

As social-psychologist Sheldon Solomon said in Michael Moorer's great environment scam expose' Planet of the Humans, "You can step out of your house and get hit by a fucking meteor!" And he's right. Any time you step off the curb to cross the street could be your last time. So you don't stay huddled in your house because of that? Concern for your life (or others for that matter) isn't causing you to drive the speed limit and almost 40 thousand people die each year driving. And many are not pleasant deaths.

It makes no sense to me, this abject, all-consuming...fear.

Moving the Goal Posts

Another action that should turn on the bell in you noggin' is that first the Vaccine will help us return to "a normal life" but now that it's actually been discovered and is being rolled out, the tune about it's restorative effects has changed. It's no longer the Elixir of Normalcy that it was touted as. Why?

Because the election isn't quite over yet. Until President Trump is actually out of the White House, this isn't going to let up. AND since the lockdown orders has worked so well on the dutiful public, they will want to see how long they can keep this going.

We could be wearing masks come this time next year. And we already know the people who will NEVER take them off again.

I am not my brother's keeper but you all don't know how silly or craven you look when I see you all on the sidewalk, OUTSIDE or driving INSIDE YOUR CAR with the windows rolled up WEARING A STUPID MASK.

Why the Governor's aren't wearing masks or staying home.

This is because they know something you don't. That the chances of them keeling over from the Virus is remote. That's why they're ordering restaurants and businesses to shut down one minute and the next they're either in the hair solon, dining out with friends or in a meeting with 20 people without masks. They aren't worried one whit!

You wanna be a drone and live like that, have at it. But your being played and have been from the beginning. Don't know when you all will smarten up but for the sake of the soon-to-be-lost Republic, I hope it's sooner than later.

Our loss of Freedom

You're not going to like the future if the future is going to look like this. I don't people have gotten it yet, the implications of what has just happened. They're still saying "We'll beat them next time!" when there will be no next time. No fair time next time any way. If allowed to stand, this Conspiracy of Leftist States will become the routine. And once a group convinces themselves that this was the right thing to do, they will forever delude themselves that their next step will be right also.

Voting with your Feet

New Yorkers have got the right idea. They're leaving the city and the state in droves in a Dysphoria of the Affluent. The people who can't work from home or afford to just pick up and leave will be stuck with the bill.

This has been happening in California also and is spreading across the country. The U.S. will stratify, I think, leaving the blue states very blue and the red states very red. Finding a place where there are people who think like you will be the main attraction and also not be picking your pocket every other day.

The Coming Fallout

You can't defy gravity for long. There will be a corresponding crash of some kind as a result of all this government spending and no money coming into the tax coffers. It's simple accounting that nobody is counting on to rear it's ugly head. They think the Federal government will just write a check and they'll be fine. But the Feds are $30 Trillion in the hole already. What ever check they write is borrowed. The states, like New York, were also in the red and what ever check they get will not be enough. Here in Massachusetts, they've not laid off one public services worker. Nobody is riding the trains, few are working in the city of Boston. They're not spending money to park, ride the trains, at restaurants, going to movies or plays, it's mostly stopped. So where is the city or state going to get the money to pay all these people?

Just wonder. So should everybody. Especially the Governor.

A Most Unusual Tribute to President Trump

"There's no such thing as bad publicity" - Phineas  T. Barnum

Rather than finding the Trump Baby balloon offensive, I think it's great. What a tribute to President Trump!

These people are going well out of their way. That balloon took a lot of time and money to make. And imagine also the time and money it takes to store, transport and maintain this thing never mind buying the helium to blow it up. It has to be blown up, manned by a crew of "Baby Sitters" and there's probably a permit to be paid for involved. Then it has to be deflated, carefully inspected, folded and loaded into a van and taken to a storage area...every time.

What a homage that is.

So let's think about this for a minute.

They didn't think to make a giant "President Hillary Clinton" balloon to badger Mr. Trump as a protest. They didn't think to make a big ol' "Bring Back Obama" balloon to badger him either. I would see both as antagonistic. Imagine looking out and seeing a big balloon of the person they think should have been president. But this didn't enter their heads apparently.

Nope! They instead make a Trump Baby? That's a protest? It's a bit too good natured to matter much as a protest. Sort of a tongue-in-cheek type of a protest. More of a begrudging show of respect which stands in stark contrast to the Left's harsh rhetoric.

Similarly, and quite telling in fact, there isn't a "Putin Baby" balloon and most certainly isn't a "Xi Jinping Baby" In fact, when the Communist leader visited England, there were no protests at all. And although he has a popular T-shirt, the long dead Cuban revolutionary Che Graviera never got a balloon.

But of course we know that neither Russia, China or Cuba has a right to free speech or a right to protest and none of these country's "Presidents" are known to possess a sense of humor about such things.

If you should decide to fly a similar balloon in, for example, China, it seems highly likely you will soon find yourself bound, gagged and having all your organs aggressively harvested while still conscious in one of Xi Jinping's not-so-well-hidden Re-education Camps.

That is the antithesis of freedom.

If anything, the Trump Baby balloon represents a symbol of reverence. It's a symbol of freedom to express one's point of view and it's been done very well. It looks just like him. It's a great, floating work of art and it's creation, love him or hate him, was spurred by a great force in humankind today.

And regardless of it's theme, the Trump Baby represents by it's mere existence the ideas held by a higher First World society based on rule of law and human rights. The rules are the rules and whether President Trump likes it or not, there it is. To his credit he hasn't said a thing about it yeah or nay. He probably likes it too.

After all, President Trump has a sense of humor.

Unlike London's lurking and spiteful Mayor Sadiq Khan, who's first instinct upon receiving bad press was to declare that there should be CURBS upon what can be said about him in the media.

There have been other polarizing leaders in America before and throughout world history but in this age of instant media and the current deep divides in our society, President Trump has become the biggest focus of just about everybody on the face of the earth with a radio or television. He's a man you may admire or he's the man you hate or rather, LOVE to HATE.

But you definitely have a strong opinion one way or another and regardless of which one motivates you, you are still motivated.

It's the push/pull of a living breathing process of a society's constant fight for freedom and progress that still stands as a beacon to be seen by the world.

It's a beautiful thing.

The Global Quest for Olympic Gold

I remember when I was 12 years old watching the Wide World of Sports on TV with my older brother and they had a gymnastics competition to select who was going to the Olympics for the U.S. and one of the commentators, a former gymnast, was answering a question about the U.S. teams competitiveness on the world stage and he said that “It’s going to take our best efforts if we’re going to beat the Russians.” And I remember turning to my brother and saying, “Yeah, we've got to beat the Russians!” and in true older brother fashion, he ruins me with a simple question:

Why do we have to beat the Russians?

And to this day I still can’t come up with an answer. Why DO we have to beat the Russians in gymnastics?  Why does America have to strive for victory over what was then a Russian Gymnastics Juggernaut? Why do we as a nation even care?

Now one could just say “Because it’s fun.” But even a twelve year old knows that THAT isn't true. It’s more a case of Nationalism which goes beyond the simple joy of competition. And this is fine on a certain level really because we should all be proud of the country we've grown up in more or less.  WE may piss and moan about our country going to hell but if somebody from somewhere else says something disparaging they run the risk of a punch in the nose.

It is totally different for an individual athlete wanting to compete on the world stage against the best in their sport or to have a "nemesis" (who may happen to be Russian) that they can fight  epic battles with but will your nation lose face if you don't beat your nation's declared "bad guy" opponent in say, synchronized platform diving? Will the nation become unproductive as a result?

It is one thing to have a rivalry and another entirely to manipulate the population in a concerted effort to win at sport for some bizarre idea it makes a better nation. Mongolia seems to be doing alright without a number one basketball team.
Perhaps it’s just the modern age of man. Instead of the big modern nations blowing up each other’s cities, we’ll duke it out for supremacy on the basketball court, the judo mat or the swimming pool. Like that’s going to prove how bitchen’ our countries really are.

Or maybe, perhaps, we are just re-living the race to the Moon. We beat the “Ruskies” to that too, with the U.S getting a bucket full of moon rocks and orange flavored Tang for all our efforts at space superiority. Next time one of our astronauts has to hitch a ride on a Russian rocket to the International Space Station they can all have a laugh at that.
But it’s this quest for the quixotic vision of supremacy that some nations take to an unrealistic extreme. And although many nations have nationalized sports programs that pick athletes and provide facilities and training, we've also heard the stories of China, the East Germans and the former Soviet Union where very young children were selected, segregated and systematically trained to be swimming, fighting, and rowing autobots. This is the result of countries that base their national-image on their sporting successes in order to show the world that their system of government is the "superior model". Interestingly enough, these are the same countries that have had to put up barriers for the purpose of keeping their people in and the rest of the world out.

And here we see the difference between the East and the West.

Here in America all it takes is for any coach with a Team USA logo on his jacket to tell a young prospect’s parents that their kid has talent in a certain sport and he/she has a good chance to get a College Scholarship and they will GIVE them their kid and PAY them to train them. No solemn faced jack booted state officials are needed.

All you have to do is plant a dollar sign in the parents head and your work is  more than half done.

"A college scholarship, where do I sign?"
But it’s a very personal thing to find the sport you want to do and I find it offensive to think that people anywhere are chosen for a particular sport because someone else decides it’s a better fit.

Yet desire still trumps talent in many ways and it stands to reason that a conscript doesn't make as good an athlete as a volunteer and we've seen countless times athletes who were not initially thought gifted yet had triumphed just the same.

So if a country needs a Ministry of Sport "Grinding Mill" to produce a winning athlete to prove they're a great nation or to lift it's national self-esteem, I'd say that they're not only in it for all the wrong reasons, but they're a poorer nation than they ever thought they were.
